Deeper Perception Made Practical

Cult mind control. A guest post by Spiritual Cinderella

Memo to cult: Buh-bye

Exiting a cult — now that’s an important way to use deeper perception. We’ve already had several articles on this topic. Now here’s a guest post from Blog-Buddy SPIRITUAL CINDERELLA. Note the references to spiritual addiction, being Enlightened, and The Romance of The Astral.

SPIRITUAL CINDERELLA has learned a lot the hard way. Here’s her story.

Spiritual addiction galore

I want to share that I was in a spiritual training and healing program from 2011 – 2014.

This training program teaches and strongly encourages spiritual addiction.  It teaches everyone to open up spiritually and to have psychic skills. They believe that the more enlightened a person, the greater the psychic skills the person will have.

For example, there is a lot of emphasis placed on Third Eye Chakra psychic development.  So if you can see astral beings, ascended masters, ghosts, entities, etc  then you get lots and lots of praise, lots of positive reinforcement, and people look up to you.

They believe that any sort of affliction or illness is caused by entities, and they believe that any person can have thousands of entities inside of them.  And they believe that if you can see entities you are even more enlightened.

So they train people to become hyper-aware of entities and to clear them from other people.

Fear of entities keeping people locked into the cult

They try to teach people how to be safe when doing these clearings, but many people get attacked by entities doing these healings/clearings.

They say to chant 24 hours a day to be safe from them, as they are everywhere.  And they have specific meditations you are to do at all kinds of hours of the day and night.  You are told that you have to do these things, as you are a chosen one and are here to save humanity.

They also believe that everything is karma.

  • So if you have a good life, you served well in past lifetimes.
  • If you have a bad life, you did bad things in past lifetimes and its your fault, so do a forgiveness practice at least once a day to all souls.

They teach no complaining, don’t watch or listen to anything negative.

If you have any problems or challenges with the training program, then it’s your spiritual testing/karma, and you have to just chant and overcome that.  Supposedly all problems with the training program are  spiritual testing. Because, supposedly, entities/the dark side are trying to prevent you from being a healer and saving the world.

Then came the vows

As if all that wasn’t enough, they also had us make many vows.

The standard one is to be an unconditional universal servant to all humanity and all souls everywhere.  And they say that if you don’t live up to your vows then dark souls/entities will come to you. So you basically have to be a selfless servant 24/7 to everyone and everything.

Their main chant they teach to people goes like this:  “I love my heart and soul. I love all humanity.  Join hearts and souls together.  Love Peace and Harmony.  Love  Peace and Harmony.”

Why I left this cult

For all of these reasons, and more, I decided I couldn’t be in this program anymore.  And I am so glad I left.

My life had no balance.  My marriage was really suffering.  I was more in the astral world than the real one.

Everywhere I went I saw entities.  It was like living in a kind of hell.

I’ve been living in so much fear because of this program.  Every time I got a headache or had any problems, I would see an entity on me hurting me.  Because they had trained me to see and believe that.

Looking back on the cult experience

You may be wondering, how does someone get involved in something so crazy like this program?

Well, it isn’t crazy at first.  It’s all flowery and pretty with lots of new friends and a loving support system of other kind people who have intuitive abilities too.

So it’s all very nice at first.  You become one of their healers and are told how wonderful you are and how wonderful everyone in this program is.

And then, the farther you go on in the program, the more and more real ugliness comes out.

After three years I was so disillusioned and so unhappy, no balance in my life, and I felt like I didn’t have control of my life anymore, because we were taught to do whatever the Master said, no matter what.  No questions.

It definitely was a brainwashing.

I would go to one-week retreats, and their big two-week retreats in Canada every year.

You would only get to sleep about three hours a night.  You would meditate and chant most of the time, and blindly believe whatever it was the Master said, and vow to do even better and follow his teachings even more and meditate more, because three hours a day wasn’t enough.

I watched the documentary on Scientology that recently came out.  There was no violence in the program I was involved in, but there were some similarities.  I never wanted to admit, even to myself, that it was a cult I was in, but if the shoe fits….

Now with all of this said, I do believe that the Master and the other leaders in this program do have people’s best interest at heart.  And they are capable of doing some amazing healings with people.  I’ve seen them.  But they have so many warped negative beliefs that are so harmful to people.  The problem is, that they just don’t see it.  But I did.  And now I’m learning how to be grounded, focus on myself again, and live a life that makes me happy.  I am on my way.

I wonder if the line, “Join hearts and souls together,” could be very harmful for empaths?

  2. 2

    Nothing to worry about, especially.

Just because you’re an empath doesn’t mean that you’re doing more empath merges because of nutty language in an otherwise nutty prayer.

    Cult problems are cult problems.

Unskilled empath merges are a different problem.

Learning to do Skilled Empath Merge was not what this cult was about, to say the least.

I also wanted to add that the people in this group I once belonged to teach and practice psychic coercion.

They call it soul communication and soul marketing, but it is straight up psychic coercion.

  4. 4

They call all of the souls of people they are trying to communicate with, like all of humanity, or all of the souls in a state, or town, or a particular person, and ask them to purchase the Master’s books, go to local trainings, join the mission, and tell them why they should do these things via soul communication and soul marketing.

The Master will actually give people soul orders where he commands the souls of people to do things, like read his books, join his mission, etc.

  5. 5

They have no idea how wrong this is. They believe their way is THE WAY.

It has been very very difficult to leave the program. But I had to do it for me, and my family, and my life.

My life belongs to me, not to a Master, or The Mission, or to serve all souls everywhere. My life belongs to me.

  6. 6

I am committed to building a life that makes me happy where I can thrive and live joyously, safely, and peacefully and follow my heart and soul’s desires.

I deserve to be happy, and live my life for me.

    We all do.

Cinderella, I’m so glad you got away from that group!
Isn’t it scary how all-absorbing cults can be?

Thanks everyone for your support! 🙂

Yes, it has been quite an experience. I do feel stronger for it As I had to have a lot of courage to leave and stand up for myself.

Being so empathic and having so many friends trying to talk me into staying was hard too.

I’ve pretty much stopped all contact with 99% of people still involved in it. Moving towards 100%.

It’s hard to say goodbye. But it’s difficult for me to stay friends with people still involved, especially when I know they believe that I’ve “lost my soul journey” now that I’m not in the “Mission” anymore.

It’s so sad. I’ve had friends say things to me like, “But Cindy, the Master says that as long as we have faith and work hard we will all be so successful and have pretty much all of their dreams come true.”

They also say that due to the “Transition of Mother Earth” that more natural disasters/wars/diseases are going to happen and we will rise up and be Mother Earth’s saviors, etc.

They just repeat almost word for word what they have been told. I hope someday they choose to live for themselves and are able to live a happy life.

Thanks for sharing the story. I’ve seen similar. In one case, it completely put the person off any spiritual development.

And funnily enough re: karma is the karmic consequences of leading others astray. That’s a very big one.

Such a good sign when there is openness and growth vs strictly held beliefs.
