Deeper Perception Made Practical

Three Ways to Find Peace Right Now

Ever wonder why doves, not elephants, are symbols of peace?

Ever wonder why doves, not elephants, are symbols of peace?

It has arrived, with perfect timing, our January 1, 2016.

Don’t you love having a new start?

One of the things you might enjoy about 2016 is having more peace.

The Opposite of Drama in Your 2016

Funny thing about peace. It doesn’t clobber you over the head. Peace is something gentle that you can find.

You can find it today. You can find some of it right now. Human-type peace.

Elephants aren’t generally considered symbols of peace. Doves are. Well, compare the relative drama of doves versus elephants:

  • The lightness of movement
  • The speed of travel
  • The softness of sound

For an animal here at Earth School, doves are pretty darned subtle. Peace is too.

Yet for all its gentleness, peace can actively be encouraged… in very human ways. This Enlightenment Coach think that’s worth noting. Don’t you?

A human-type peace is available to us at Earth School as we live here in our funny little animal-style bodies.

The Signature of the Divine, Peace Is Tucked into Human life.

Gladys, a sweet buddy of mine, sent an end-of-year email where she predicted that there would be struggles in the year ahead. Warning me, she cautioned that in 2015 she “had to” lift her vibrations many, many times every day so that she would avoid falling into negativity. In 2016, this sort of thing would have to be done even more. (Gladys thought.)

It’s a pretty sure bet: Life on earth may contain drama galore in 2016. So what’s new?

Another pretty sure bet: By doing Technique Time, off and on, all day long, guess what? Gladys has been lifting herself right into spiritual addiction.

There’s a better way. In fact I can think of three of them, effortless and gentle ways that you can find peace. And not one of these involves reaching up into astral vibrational frequencies.

Three Ways to Find Peace Whenever You Like

Each of these ways can work for you, but one or two may be more of a favorite. That’s okay, all you need is one.

Whichever of these methods you choose, do it quickly and gently. Like the blink of an eye. Then move on.

#1. Listen for the Silence

Silence is always there. Between the words. Between the sentences. Between the musical phrases.

That silence is the pure voice of God, a.k.a. Peace: Concentrated and still, yet also flowing.

Of course silence will not sound dramatically weird to you. All along you have been made of that.

Don’t try to hear a different kind of silence than what is normal for you. Same with the degree of peacefulness you feel, which might be quite subtle.

Ten tiny moments of peace in your day will accumulate into a more recognizable peace, a steadiness always available to you.

#2. Look for Empty Space

Between people and other physical objects, there is space. Plenty is available right where you are right now, see that?

Usually we emphasize the objects, but for your occasional dip into peace, do this. Shift your customary figure-ground relationship. And let the empty space be what you notice.

There’s a tranquility in that, a repose.

For less than a second, you can rock and rest in that visual peace as though reclining in a hammock on a beautiful summer’s day.

#3. Very Temporarily, Get out of Touch

Usually those busy fingers of yours are doing important things. Such as feeling textures.

Of course, you could use your feet. Or any of the skin on your body. You have such an ample sense of touch; it allows you to actively explore any texture around you.

Actually that texture might be quite sumptuous — animal or vegetable or mineral.

For an instant bit of fun, you can always reach out and touch something: The superfine smoothness of silk; the feathery softness of a dove; that familiar, character-delicious, rumpled skin of your pet elephant. Whatever.

When you seek the peace part, though, do the opposite. Be interested in the no-touch aspect of the figure-ground gestalt. In the instant right after touching something, pause for a moment.

There it is. Peace and (sensory) quiet and soulful balance.

Peace Can Be Easy to Find

Just accept it for what it is. Not seeking something grander, more mystical, more dramatic, or as if a space alien must arrive to teach you how to really live your human life.

Ordinary human life. Human peace. The basis of human fulfillment. Also the basis of Enlightenment.

Finding peace on demand can be part of your personal path.

And for any type of personal development you might choose — such as any of the skills with RES (Rosetree Energy Spirituality) — you’ll be more resourceful for knowing that you can always find peace.

Whatever else does or doesn’t happen for you in 2016, you can always find peace.

I haven’t consciously done any of those three things recently, but I also don’t seem to have trouble finding peace. So now you’ve got me curious as to just how I’m finding it!

Not gonna go out of my way to figure it out, but it does give me something to think about. And I do like your methods, too. 🙂

I feel calmer just reading this. Thanks, Rose. Silence is my favorite, but space too. Soulful balance…on its way to being restored.

I’m glad to hear a message of peace for 2016.

One thing I don’t miss about an astrology website I was following was the hyped-up focus on change and how much change is happening.

I would feel a bit of fear upon reading.

    Julie says:

I think there’s an assumption there, that change is difficult. That it *has* to be.

When sometimes change is just the next natural step, the next progression.

    That we’re ready for.

This post beautifully describes what I’ve been thoroughly enjoying during this holiday season.

Peace. Every day, I’ve been relishing it.

Seems radical in the US at the holidays, when there is so much hype about busy-ness, overeating, overspending, etc.

  11. 11

GRACE W., this radical — or at least uncommon — experience you’ve been having spontaneously is…

    of course…

    Householder Enlightenment!

In 2015, you did arrive on the Enlightenment Life List that stars people from the RES community.

  12. 12

The tiny techniques in this post can help a person to preview that state of consciousness.

Or remember to appreciate it more.

Thanks so much for your comment today.

    Grace W says:

Yes, Rose, I knew that this is why this feel of peace is so pronounced now. Still, it has been quite lovely to have a break from the busyness of commuting and working to simply soak it up, just enjoy it.

Such a contrast to past holiday seasons.

Having just enough times of connection with others to enjoy celebrating and also plenty of solitude.

No longer feeling vulnerable to certain strong strains of psychic coercion that crop up in the US around the holidays. Very grateful for that.

I am enjoying silence a lot in this New Year. Almost like in an incubator, from silence something is born.

If not outright children, then little ideas:)
