Deeper Perception Made Practical

A Recovering Alcoholic in The Age of Awakening

For a certain kind of recovering alcoholic, unexpected difficulties can occur in The Age of Awakening

Energetically what happened to a recovering alcoholic while attending a party where wine poured freely? JOE didn’t drink alcohol. Yet this was an Age of Awakening event. Turns out, that was enough to cause significant energetic trouble for JOE.

Today I’ll draw you an aura reading comparison. Reading auras, of course, is part of my counter-culture perspective on recreational substances, liquor included. “Deeper perception made practical” at this blog means Energy READING skills and also Energy HEALING skills!

Here at the blog we’ve been discussing the pretty minor consequences of social drinking. Which, to this aura reader, have worsened since The Age of Awakening began on 12/21/12.  Now I’ll share one of the most grotesque things I have witnessed… since the Shift into our Age of Awakening.

At a minimum, this article can help you understand why I’ve cautioned you about drinking alcohol now, even in moderation.

In the incident I’ll research for you, JOE wasn’t drinking alcohol. As a recovering alcoholic, JOE has had exemplary success. He follows his 12-Step Program religiously. And adds a beautiful Catholic faith.

Except, wait. Have you ever wondered what the aura of such a person is like? He doesn’t drink liquor any more. But what’s going on with his aura?

Besides that, in The Age of Awakening, what happens when a recovering alcoholic hangs out where other people indulge in social drinking?

A Certain Kind of Recovering Alcoholic

Before I proceed, let’s clarify. JOE is a certain kind of recovering alcoholic. The most common kind.

After hitting bottom, he has lifted himself up with help from Alcoholic Anonymous.

His 12-Step work has helped JOE enormously. Yet he hasn’t had the benefit of sessions of Rosetree Energy Spirituality (RES). These move out different kinds of STUFF that can get stuck in the recovering alcoholic’s aura. The permanent healing includes PUT-IN. This helps wake up a stronger soul expression.

What has happened for my RES clients who used to have problems with drinking or drugs? They no longer consider themselves recovering. Because it has been years — years! — since that substance has  been a problem.

Their auras have healed to such an extent that they would consider themselves recovered. Not recovering. No more struggling one day at a time. Instead they’re just living. Like any other kind of normal person. Nothing like, “My name is JOE and I am an alcoholic.”

So let’s be clear. I’m quite sure their auras are altogether different from JOE’s in the “Before Picture” that follows.

Hey, not just a theory! I’ve read those auras, one session of progress at a time.

That said, on to our…

Energetic Literacy Shocker!

About One Recovering Alcoholic

Where Others Do Social Drinking

In The Age of Awakening

Picture a good-sized party, maybe 60 in attendance. I’m one of the guests. Well-dressed people are dining on delicious food. Clinking their glasses of red wine.

Although I enjoy the conversation and the sumptuously-sauced salmon, I have said no to the alcohol. So has my husband. And so, I notice, has JOE.

Not surprising! JOE has told me that he’s a “recovering alcoholic.” For him, that means 12 years into sobriety, with Alcoholics Anonymous as important to him as his Catholicism. As JOE tells it (modestly), this combo has gotten him through.

Hours into the lovely event, it’s such a convivial and mellow crowd.

Picture how those elegantly-shaped glasses of wine sparkle in the candlelight. So beautifully set off by the lovely white tablecloths! Each burgundy-colored goblet looks like a symbol of sophistication.

Everybody is smiling. And, of course, with this upscale crowd, it would be a good quality wine. All part of the good life, right?

Until I take a look at JOE.

My Startling Glimpse of This Not-Drunk, Recovering Alcoholic

When it comes to energetic literacy, folks, I practice what I preach. While at this party, it wasn’t my Technique Time. Therefore, no aura reading for me.

Yet I’m as energy sensitive as anybody else who lives in The Age of Awakening. Which means very! (Everybody who wants to be energy sensitive now… can be. Very!)

Which may explain why my one glance at JOE gave me one of the most disgusting shocks of my life. Without my knowing yet quite what it meant.

Here’s What Happened

As explained to you, I was not doing Technique Time — trying to read energies, for instance. Nope. Hanging out at this party, I was in a low-key state of energy sensitivity. In RES this is called “Stage One Energetic Literacy.” Not doing aura reading, I was simply looking around the room. The way people do. Human-type people. Not spacey people seeking astral input.

And that’s when I happened to glance at JOE. Understand, folks, this party had been dancing along for hours.

So what did I see?

JOE held no wine glass in his hand. (Committed to living clean and sober, JOE had obviously abstained from drinking alcohol.)

When I saw him he was throwing back his head and laughing. And I almost gasped out loud.

It looked as though his face were made of rubber. Thick rubber, like a super-heavy mask. With a coarse astral vibration.

From my energetic literacy skills, I recognized that vibration as “Big deal going on with JOE’s aura. Very low astral. And lots of it.”

Ordinarily JOE’s a good looking guy. In a nerdy, Catholic, senior-citizen kind of way. Which I personally find very appealing. Such gorgeous blue eyes!

But this time? Whatever I was seeing on his face was… quite simply… grotesque.

I resolved to use Technique Time another day. Then I could research what on earth was going on with him. (Which has led to this article.)

How to Research the Aura of This Recovering Alcoholic?

So here’s how I did this research. It depended upon some advanced skills of energetic literacy.  Stage 12 Energetic Literacy, to be exact.

Thus, I did a kind of comparison aura reading, a “Before & After” Sequence about some of JOE’s chakra databanks. Here’s some background on chakra databanks, in case the term isn’t familiar to you. Whether it’s all familiar or not, I hope you’ll keep reading.

  • First I did an aura reading from an energetic hologram of Recovering Alcoholic JOE as Usual. This came from a friendly conversation we had shortly after we met.
  • By contrast, I researched Recovering Alcoholic JOE among the Tipsy. The pleasantly tipsy people at the party. This energetic hologram came from JOE at the moment at that party when he threw back his head and laughed. His face caught the light. And I saw that mask-like astral coating all over his face.

After doing this aura reading research, even I was shocked. Although, these days, when it comes to astral anything, I don’t shock easy.

Long story short: Social drinking during the Age of Awakening? No longer what it used to be!

Root Chakra Databank for Presence in the Room

Recovering Alcoholic JOE as Usual

Symbolic size of the chakra databank: 1/2″

At the subconscious level where I’m reading his aura, JOE is mired in shame. In recovery or not, aurically he feels to himself like a worthless alcoholic.

STUFF that clogs up JOE’s aura includes:

  • Loads of energetic subroutines. These workarounds come from his 12-step program, from religion, from being a Christian, from being saved, from being “especially loved by God because of his struggles.”
  • Loads of negative and mixed-up thought forms about sobriety
  • Loads of astral masks about identity gained as a recovering alcoholic. For example, in many of his relationships JOE is “Brave and courageous. Yet always wounded and damaged.”

Quite some experience for me, reading the aura of this recovering alcoholic! Granted, JOE he has struggled and won in a way that is so deeply meaningful to him. Agreed, it is beautiful.

Yet what’s my perspective, reading his aura? JOE’s presence in life is like living in a room where every wall is painted black. Okay, one window lets in bright light but is only a few rays of light.

Energetically, then, JOE inhabits a shadowy world. Subconsciously, he’s crippled… when IMO, and with all respect… he doesn’t have to be.

At the astral level of JOE’S aura, what does it mean to be a recovering alcoholic?

One day at a time, he bravely generates yet more beautiful thought forms. How special he is! How much God loves him!

Meanwhile, he avoids what is always there in the background: A shadowed, horror-filled astral clutter.

Let’s Pause Here and Add a Part Two Tomorrow

Concluding for Today

The stark truth of an aura reading is usually beautiful. But not this one. And I’ll caution you Blog-Buddies, the bit of “Before” part of this aura reading, guess what? This is the happier version.

Don’t read Part Two of this little series unless you’re prepared to read something pretty grim. Pretty disgusting. Definitely shocking.

For some of you readers, it might be enough to read the aura level truth of this one chakra databank. Celebrate how JOE has worked so hard, without the benefit of STUFF removal. He’s had to save himself through on human-type work. Heaping prayer upon prayer. Begging God to help him. One hard day at a time.

My aura reading of this recovering alcoholic may offend some of you. But I believe it’s important to share the energetic truth. Whether JOE uses RES or another mind-body-spirit modality that frees him up energetically, this. This! Does. Not. Have. To. Be. The picture of his “success as a recovering alcoholic.”

Cheerfully residing in an earthbound, hell-hole? Proving his faith every day? Keeping company with astral-level thought forms and such, these STUFF-encoded reminders of horror?

I work nearly every day of my life (like today, my “Day off”). After so many years doing RES sessions, helping so many clients, yes! I propose an alternative that could make such a difference for former alcoholics like JOE.

Bring on the RES experts who team up with experts at recovery! Bring on the scientific research, the pilot programs and what follows! Just think of all the suffering that we could stop!

With the fresh eyes of a new day, I realize that one of the most important parts of this post is what I didn’t say.

I saw JOE for that moment. Registered “The rubber.”

And then I went back to my party, continuing to enjoy myself.

  2. 2

Learning energetic literacy skills from RES, it’s very clear. Either you read auras or you don’t.

It’s called “Energy hygiene,” as many of you know.

Unless you’re in Technique Time, you put aside research projects that might be interesting. Then you get back to your normal human life.

  3. 3

And what do you do because you happen to notice that somebody is in trouble?

Whether it’s your Technique Time or just noticing something with Stage 1 Energetic Literacy or noticing something right there on the surface of life….

The energy HEALING skills of RES are separate from the energy READING skills of RES.

You don’t leap in to do either one simply because you can.

  4. 4

If all this seems obvious to you, I’m glad.

Yet many good people study psychic development. Or some other form of mind-body-spirit healing. And they’re always on call.

    Always noticing. Always fixing.

  5. 5

    Like the movie “Sixth Sense.”

Loved that movie. That was the movie with the line, “I see dead people.”

A quote follows, courtesy of IMDb.

  6. 6

Cole Sear: I see dead people.

    Malcolm Crowe: In your dreams?

    [Cole shakes his head no]

    Malcolm Crowe: While you’re awake?

    [Cole nods]

Malcolm Crowe: Dead people like, in graves? In coffins?

Cole Sear: Walking around like regular people. They don’t see each other. They only see what they want to see. They don’t know they’re dead.

Malcolm Crowe: How often do you see them?

Cole Sear: All the time. They’re everywhere.

  7. 7

    A compelling movie.

    Just a terrible lifestyle.

Keeping energetic literacy for Technique Time? Now that’s a much more enjoyable lifestyle.

This line sure gave me a chuckle:

“Ordinarily JOE’s a good looking guy. In a nerdy, Catholic, senior-citizen kind of way. Which I personally find very appealing. Such gorgeous blue eyes!”

    Leo says:

It is quite sad though the sort of “I’m irredeemably damaged” self understanding and energetic reality many recovering users live with.

  10. 10
    Leo says:

Standard psychological practices seem so rudimentary and almost pathetically ineffective when compared to RES.

In my humble opinion that is.

  11. 11
    Leo says:

I used to take substances and I fell victim to some “woe is me self conception.”

Lots of healing later and that’s out the window.

  12. 12
    Leo says:

I find it somewhat obnoxious when people lead with the sort of woe-is-me misunderstood artist shtick now.

It sometimes substitutes for an objective connection to reality.

Then again, I infer that it’s often caused by stuff.

    Primmie says:

I’m in 12 step and this reading makes sense to me. Many people in 12 step are able to achieve sobriety but then stay stuck in early-stage recovery.

I don’t know why that is, perhaps because the deeper work seems too frightening or they don’t know it can be done.

  14. 14
    Primmie says:

In meetings outside sources are not allowed to be named so it’s not always possible for people to know there are other avenues of healing that can be explored.

    AJ says:

Great article, Rose. You are making me strongly consider eliminating alcohol altogether!

  16. 16
    AJ says:

I do have a technical question though (and perhaps it’s more appropriate to ask this in a mentoring session), but you used the term “astral masks” when referring to JOE’s identity. Would this be a technical kind of STUFF, like an Outgrown Facade?

  17. 17
    AJ says:

I’m nervous and a little anxious to read tomorrow’s post!

    AJ says:

LEO, you’re so wise beyond your years. I love reading your perspective 🙂

    Isabella Cates says:

Sometimes it’s shocked me how terribly someone can be doing… and still be doing.

Still going to parties, holding a job, etc.

Perhaps this is related to sensitivity, plus other ways we are set up as people to react. I certainly wouldn’t react the same way Joe has to this kind of long-term, horrific kind pain. I wouldn’t survive it.

  20. 20

LEO, PRIMMIE, AJ, ISABELLA CATES: All these comments are so appreciated!

Regarding that technical question in your Comment #16, AJ:

I wondered if anyone would catch it. I’m starting to change some of the language in “Use Your Power of Command for Spiritual Cleansing and Protection.” In keeping with calling the related workshop “The Spiritually Sparkling Workshop.”

  21. 21

If you think it’s hard to keep up with me…

Well, me too. 😉 But RES is growing very rapidly, and I do my best to keep up.

Anyway, in the aforementioned book I refer to “Facade Bodies.” Now I’m starting to use the term “Astral Masks.”

  22. 22

Well, ISABELLA, thank goodness that your — what, 1 in a million? — sensitivity is supplemented by the skills of an RES professional.

It has been my privilege and delight to train you to a professional standard. But that bunch o’ talent you’ve got is YOUR responsibility, earned one lifetime at a time.

  23. 23

In general, it is my opinion that every apprentice and graduate in my Mentoring Program in RES is exceptionally talented.

Through to the present time, and for the foreseeable future, admission is highly selective.

Sometimes lovely, talented people aim to apply for apprenticing and, at this time, I must say no. The standard must be exceptionally high at this time.

Why? Because we’re the pioneer group, placing our imprint on this system.

    Brianne says:

What strength and endurance this individual is exhibiting, just to continue to function at a human level, one day at a time, while he experiences so much pain.

  25. 25
    Brianne says:

Earth school isn’t for wimps! Any soul incarnating here has my respect. This is an intense learning planet for sure.

It would be so great if Joe could find his way to a healing modality like RES that could help him truly heal and be able to move past the stuckness.

  26. 26
    Brianne says:

One thing stands out to me from Rose’s comments about energy hygiene #1-7 – it is *not* my duty somehow to fix another person’s problem just because I notice it with stage 1 energetic literacy.

I have some relationships in my life recently where I realized this: Huh, those loved ones I used to try to help with unskilled empath merges or by listening to them talk about their problems for hours – they actually are doing just fine without me doing that.

  27. 27
    Brianne says:

Sometimes I think they might even be doing better now.

They’re a little more inclined to take responsibility for fixing their own problems, rather than relying on me to somehow just smooth it all out for them.

  28. 28
    Brianne says:

All I was doing before turned out to be very short-term, non-permanent help for them while burning myself out. Not helpful!

Particularly when there are skills I can learn to be able to actually offer big deal, permanent healing help, if they choose to accept that. A much better idea both for me and for them!

  29. 29
    Lilian says:

Hi Rose, it seems like, now you’ve emerged from the creative process of writing your last set of books (New versions of The Empowered Empath and The New Strong) you’re now seeing the way forward in bringing RES more into this world with your group of apprentices.

  30. 30

LILIAN, is this your way of asking what I am doing?

    Haha. That’s kind of sweet.

You know, my preference is to let all of you know what I’m doing when I have done it. Regarding my latest (not last) publications, I can comfortably tell you this: I continue to work on new ones. And when they are ready, you Blog-Buddies will be among the first to know.

  31. 31

Just to set the record straight…

There is no such thing as a “new version” of “The New Strong.”

It’s as leading edge as a Rose Rosetree book ever gets.

  32. 32

With that sweet curiosity of yours, you also mentioned my recent book(s) for empaths, LILIAN. The series of four books that I’ve now published since The Age of Awakeing — that sequence to help empaths — is not a “new version” of my first book in English for empaths, “Empowered by Empathy.”

That was started in the 1990’s. Remember then?

  33. 33

Empath Empowerment® has advanced enormously since I wrote that first book for empaths. Thanks, in part, to people like you: The leaders in exploring this unique method to help empaths use their full potential.

For an overview of this self-study sequence to gain full empath skills, see this article.

  34. 34
    Lilian says:

It’s good to hear. Gosh, I already forgot I started these comments.

To be an apprentice, you need the time and money to really invest in the experience and to feel that’s truly your path to personal development.

  35. 35
    Lilian says:

For me, once I realised my empath talent(s) I had some time (before I met you) feeling obliged to develop whatever I understood it was.

I feel it’s always important to learn and grow when you can.

  36. 36
    Lilian says:

But thinking about developing empath skills is not where my heart is for the forseeable future. It may be a reaction to what I’ve experienced previously with a whole load of energetically icky whatsits, but even doing a skilled empath merge on someone other than myself grosses me out right now. I think that’s healthier for me than trying to master all the icky whatsists, which was my initial reaction.

Of course, they’ll be others like me who have general intentions to help when/if they can.

  37. 37
    Lilian says:

30: I wasn’t asking, just commenting on your comments. I liked that you’re getting together a group of pioneers. 🙂 Yup, not last but latest. Wrong wording.

  38. 38
    Lilian says:

I like to recognise patterns of going through different phases of focus with building something: creativity, leadership, communication.

It’s all part of the bigger picture. I can see it all happening on the blog.

  39. 39

That Comment #38? Spot on. 🙂

Everyone who participates in RES is helping.
