Deeper Perception Made Practical

Prayer Encouragement

Prayer Encouragement

May today’s Prayer Encouragement remind you that you have the right to benefit hugely from prayer.

Prayer encouragement is our topic for today.

Because you can pray. You can pray powerfully. Afterwards, prayer can help you to feel better, do better, be yourself better.

Did you ever think of it this way? You have as much right to benefit from prayer… as anyone else who has ever lived.

Nonetheless, whether or not you benefit from prayer is up to you.

Even if you already know so much about the inexhaustible resource of prayer, in the days leading up to the inauguration of Donald Trump, you might need an inner boost. So, today, let’s bring new encouragement into your prayers.

Prayer Encouragement Idea #1. You’re Good Enough

Have you ever heard ideas like these? Before you can pray properly:

  • You must fulfill every requirement that a religion dictates.
  • You must have a high state of consciousness. (Otherwise you’re just mood making.)
  • You must become or be…. whatever… other people think you must be.

Truth is, however you are living right now, you can pray. Whenever you do, that mysterious Divine spark within you will light up.

What, can you also pray if you get a big Divine flame? Or a massively warm-and-cozy Divine-permeated world? Or something unimaginably big and warm?

We humans have better lives — not just more effective prayers — if we honestly accept what we receive, never comparing ourselves to others.

It can help to believe that “Whatever I receive today in prayer is right-sized for me. And a blessing.” Why not believe that? It’s true.

When Others Brag about their Superior Prayers, That’s Ridiculous

Let braggarts have their beliefs, their experiences. If it helps your prayer life, join a group that brings you, personally, good results (not just promises). Otherwise, cheerfully join no group at all.

Be encouraged either way. Because, no matter what, prayer can light up your today.

Guaranteed, you will be able to do a right-sized prayer for you. Simply you. At your current level of consciousness.

The response you receive… it will be just for you. Exactly and only you.

Absolutely, you’re good enough to receive beautiful comfort and help whenever you pray.

Prayer Encouragement Idea #2. Some Skills Can Help

Isn’t that true of every other good thing in your life, too? For example, take food.

Once upon a long time ago, you weren’t even that clear about your direction for eating.

Which way was that spoonful of mushy food supposed to go, anyway? Into your mouth or out? Haha.

A funny thing about skills for prayer is that you and I weren’t taught them back when we were babies.

Hey, back then we didn’t need skills for prayer. Babies are so fresh from God!

Now though? Have you smelled your skin lately? Not quite that superlatively sweet fragrance of freshly washed baby….

Prayer Encouragement Idea #3. Understanding Can Help, Too

Speaking of babyhood, compared to then… you know a whole lot more now.

Nevertheless, there can be more to learn every day, and that includes understanding more about prayer.

Stranger Than Fiction. Or Some People’s Furniture

Once I did a radio interview for a big, big show in the midwestern U.S.

My host, Joe, was delightful. In preparation for our live interview with aura reading, Joe had sent me several photographs. (Yes, this was before widespread Internet use.)

One of the local celebrities whose aura I read, hmmmm. He had the strangest thing going with his spiritual life. (In the language of Aura Reading Through All Your Senses®, the strange problem was in his Third Eye Chakra Databank for Connection to Spiritual Source.)

As I described it to Joe:

The state of this man’s spiritual life is so different from everything else about him. Picture a living room with nice furniture, stylish but not fussy. And every piece of furniture is current with everything else.

Except for one old recliner, comfortable yet beat up and practically falling apart, it’s so worn. Totally not current with the rest of the furniture. What hasn’t been updated for ages? This man’s spiritual life.

“That’s me! That’s me!” Joe said gleefully. “When I was a teenager, I got all that settled. Ever since, I never have to worry. So I pay attention to other things.”

No messy questions about spiritual awakening for that Joe!

Stuck in a Rut, or a Dilapidated Old Chair?

However, Joe’s spiritual experiment here at Earth School doesn’t have to be like yous or mine. Including prayer life, Blog-Buddies.

Celebrating that, when you take your five minutes or so to pray today, let it be fresh.

Fresh as a radiant baby. Smellin’ good!

    Amen to freshness in prayer!

    Thanks, Rose.

Such a sweet, sweet post. It is embarrassing to notice that I have gradually omitted prayer from my daily technique time.

    Adding it back, with delight.

Looking forward to more blog posts on this topic.

Hmm, my thing is that my relationship with God is pretty informal.

But I do realise that formal prayer requests (as well as technique time) could be really powerful if done consistently.

    Zofia says:

But I struggle to know how much formal prayer should be “done.”

Back when I went to Church, I measured this out by going to mass or something. So any thoughts on that would be helpful.

Thanks so much, all you encouragers of the Prayer Encouragement post. 😉

Regarding Comment #4, what you call “Formal Prayer,” ZOFIA, would count as Technique Time.

Therefore, it’s easy to answer the “How much?” question. If you limit yourself to 20 Daily Minutes of Technique Time, Tops — fit in what else matters to you that day, and then you do the math.

Regarding your important Comment #5, this series on prayer will be a pretty long one, I suspect.

Interspersed with different kinds of posts. Because there are just so many kinds of article to write about different applications of RES.

I’ll do my best to help. Meanwhile, my best advice is to have patience.

And, of course, know that you could always ask questions like this in a personal session with me. Whether a full-out Mentoring Session or just a session of RES Energy HEALING.

As a supplement to prayer, consider my blog post from inauguration day in America 2017:

Thank you, Rose. I think we need to pray now more than ever.

Prayer is powerful. I have been praying more these days (yet still staying within the 20 minutes of technique time).
