Zach Woods Aura Reading TV Review

Zach Woods Aura Reading TV Review

Zach Woods Aura Reading TV Review. My first research of this kind. What fun!

Zach Woods Aura Reading TV Review. First in a series of performance assessments, as I turn aura reading TV critic.

Does Zach change much in his role as as Jared Dunn in the HBO series, “Silicon Valley”? Or does he simply play himself?

First of all, thanks to nominees LEO WATTS and ISABELLA CATES. (Comments 1-5, 11-12.)

Second, what happens an Aura Reading TV Review? This post explains it.

Next, Meet Zach Woods

LEO recommends watching this YouTube sample of the character’s absurdity.

For the Zach as Himself part of this comparison reading, let’s use this photo.

While our Zach as Jared photo will be this one. Right away, it started me laughing out loud.

Before the aura readings begin, you might enjoy this clip from Zach’s interview with Seth Meyers.

Finally, here’s a Wikipedia introduction. Just in case you wondered, “Is his father really a psychiatrist?”

Zach Woods Aura Reading Root Chakra Databank for Presence in the Room

Zach as Himself

29 Feet. Comfortably normal range.

Zach’s nerdy. Funny. Seems as though he doesn’t take himself very seriously.

Besides that, curious about people — usually a keen observer. Rather than wrapped up in himself.

Zach as Jared Dunn

5 feet. Under-functioning.

Self-conscious. Also, social insecure.

Almost as if he has no real personality and has to settle for tactics, ways to call attention to himself. Otherwise, if he didn’t scramble to get noticed, this character would get zero attention.

Aura Change Point: 1

And that’s doing great, because scoring for each chakra databank’s change? It only has a range from 0-1.

Zach Woods Aura Reading Belly Chakra Databank for Sex Appeal

Zach as Himself

40 feet. On the large side of normal range.

Very interested in sex. And sexually confident!

But no sexual show-off, he. More like, when Zach needs to intensify his sexual presence for a particular relationship — no prob.

Zach as Jared Dunn

2 inches. Close to completely shut down.

Not exactly sexless… However, this character feels like a sexual loser. Completely lacking in sexual self-confidence.

Aura Change Point: 1

Halfway through this research, I’m already impressed with the character Zach Woods has constructed.

Zach Woods Aura Reading Solar Plexus Chakra Databank for Using Power

Zach as Himself

20 feet. Comfortably normal range.

Granted, the TV star is still young. And often, people develop power skills as they confront the decades.

Still, here’s the dynamic I notice when Zach is simply playing himself: A bit on the whiny side.

  • As if he does notice the need to use his power, in different life situations. (Excellent! Since that’s half the job.)
  • But, at this point in his life, Zach Woods doesn’t quite know what to do with that.
  • Thus far, he might give a cute sort of whiny performance. Cute-ish for now, at his age.

Zach as Jared Dunn

2 inches. Comically puny!

Oh, this poor Jared character!

Essentially he’s a nice guy. However, he’s so clueless about getting what he wants. Already I can taste the comic setups. Because this cleverly designed character will do anything to get what he wants… Except for using normal power skills to say things and do things in order to get what he wants.

Aura Change Point: 1

What a magnificent transformation for a comedy series — at this rate, I just might start subscribing to HBO.

Zach Woods Aura Reading Throat Chakra Databank for Sense of Humor

Zach as Himself

90 MILES. Joyfully immense-intense.  Comfortably NOT normal range.

Evidently this Zach Woods has a talent for finding humor. And even more, a talent for making other people laugh.

Specifically, which kind of humor?

  • Nerdy.
  • Plus, he’s witty in intent. (Rather than using the self-consciously elegant language of wit, like Noel Coward or Oscar Wilde. Instead, Woods has an unpretentious, not-highbrow, very millennial kind of wit.)
  • And let’s not leave this out: Being very good at disguising himself as normal, while deftly aiming the humor.

Zach as Jared Dunn

1/8 inch. Completely shut down.

Playing Jared Dunn, Zach lives without any humor awareness. Particularly, he’s blind and deaf to his own ridiculousness.

Come to think of it, doesn’t a sense of humor usually protect us? Keeping us from doing some of the silliest possibilities in social situations? Because we get that others might laugh at us.

Cleverly, the Jared Dunn character… completely lacks that self-protective aspect of a funny bone.

Aura Change Point: 1

Another brilliant actorly choice. I’m in awe.

In Conclusion

Aura Change Points: 5 out of 5

Blog-Buddies, I always admire when an actor can change so much that it goes this deep. As you may know, chakra databanks are part of each human being’s aura anatomy.

Far from being conscious, these aura-chunks are strictly subconscious. Okay, both subconscious and energetic. Definitely not purposeful.

So I admire greatly when an actor can do a complete transformation. Going all the way down to this very hard-to-change level of the self!

What do I admire even more? When an actor purposely creates a nuanced character, a really clever construct for comedic purposes. (Or, for a different show, for dramatic purposes.)

And that’s what this young actor has done. Brilliantly!

I’m so glad to have done my first Aura Reading TV Review on a master of comedy, Zach Woods.

What a great performance by Woods and a great Aura Aura TV Review by you Rose. This piece seems particularly insightful in regards to the character of Jared Dunn, based on my surface level observations of the character: “Come to think of it, doesn’t a sense of humor usually protect us? Keeping us from doing some of the silliest possibilities in social situations? Because we get that others might laugh at us.

Cleverly, the Jared Dunn character… completely lacks that self-protective aspect of a funny bone.” This is spot on! What a great start to this series of aura readings!

I haven’t seen Silicon Valley, but I was very impressed with his acting change at the Throat Chakra Databank for Sense of Humor.

It’s hard for me to imagine acting as a character without any humor awareness.

Very interesting! This part made me laugh: “Because this cleverly designed character will do anything to get what he wants… Except for using normal power skills to say things and do things in order to get what he wants.”

I am always amazed when watching sitcoms how many characters will do anything except for using normal power skills! So many times I want to yell at the TV, “Just say what you want! Just tell the truth!”

    Kylie says:

However there was definitely a time in life, before RES, when I would do anything except use my power skills to get what I wanted. Meditate, wish, hope, hint, etc. And, no, that didn’t work out very well for me!

I did see Zach Woods on The Office and found his character hilariously awkward there (I watched every episode of the show at least once…).

Recently I was watching outtakes of some of The Office scenes with the actor Rainn Wilson, who played the very serious Dwight Schrute.

I was totally stunned to see Rainn burst out of character and start laughing. I realized how hard he had to work to play Dwight!

Thanks to all you Zach appreciators and/or appreciators of this new kind of aura reading. Thank you for taking the time to comment.

Otherwise, I sometimes feel like when I used to do a lot of radio interviews over the phone. Sitting in my office, in blue jeans, wondering, “Sure this show is supposed to have a million listeners. But is a single one of them listening NOW?”

Doing this first Aura Reading TV Review really made me think. Giving rise to a blog post today… about Power Versus Obedience.

What does that have to do with the Jared Dunn character, and why he’s so funny? Take a look.
