Deeper Perception Made Practical

Energy Spirituality Rebranding in 2019

Energy Spirituality Rebranding. How you can help me to reach the people I can reach

Energy Spirituality Rebranding.

Learn why I began rebranding halfway through this year. What have some Blog-Buddies and I accomplished… This year alone?

Already results are encouraging. So I’ll tell you how we’ve succeeded thus far. (Also, sharing something recent. And pretty shocking.)

What’s more, I’ll explain how you can help me with this important project.

First of All, What’s “Energy Spirituality”?

Energy Spirituality brings a lot of hope. Improving many aspects of your life. In very personal ways.

Officially, here’s the definition:

Energy Spirituality helps you to grow emotionally and awaken spiritually.

Using effective skills that work now. In the Age of Awakening!

Specifically, four different specialties are part of the fun. (Transformational fun.)

  1. Energy Spirituality ENERGY READING
  2. Energy Spirituality ENERGY HEALING
  3. Empath Empowerment®
  4. Enlightenment Coaching

Of course, “Energy Spirituality ENERGY READING” includes:

In this beautiful blog post, JENNIFER described how all four specialties helped her.

To Clarify

On December 21 I’m adding this little chunk. Just to clarify, given well meaning comments from ANGIE and SARAH.

No, I’m not trying to reach a wider audience. As always, I’m reaching people who are interested in the four specialties mentioned above.

That simple. Which is why I’m focusing on SEO. So that if somebody searches on, say, “Aura Reading,” they can find my work.

That Said, What’s with Energy Spirituality Rebranding?

Unexpectedly, back in August, I discovered a shocking problem concerning SEO for this website.

For years, I’ve referred to my work as “Rosetree Energy Spirituality. RES for short.” Provided that I’m successful in this new rebranding project? Eventually it may be wise for me to use that fancier name again.

To put this another way, eventually I may save face. Since just about every YouTube video I’ve published starts like the one at the bottom of this article. Though, for now, I’m just renaming my YouTube videos, like the one at the end of this post.

Guess It’s Time for Some Backstory on RES Versus Energy Spirituality

Decades ago, I found a name for this field. The field that, unexpectedly, I founded! Energy Spirituality.

Only by then I’d had plenty of experience of copycats. A tedious story, really. And from time to time, I’ve expressed my incredulity here at this blog. Like, couldn’t Hay House darling Judith Orloff survive without appropriating terms I developed?

So many comparable stories. Although I’ll spare you. Long story short, by now I considered myself unshockable… Except…

The Latest Copycat Story

Yesterday I happened to google on the title of one of my books, “The NEW Power of Face Reading.” Years ago, I published “The Power of Face Reading.” Then upgraded. Altogether, I’ve sold authorized foreign editions for both these titles.

To my astonishment, I learned something new about the exploits of Mac Fulfer. This face reader works out of Texas. Well, this year he has published a book with the title… wait for it… “The Power of Face Reading.”

As if this weren’t sad enough or bad enough, years ago Mr. Fulfer published a book called “Amazing Face Reading.” He still sells this. It contains a high proportion of concepts, names of face data. Even entire sentences and paragraphs. All lifted verbatim from an older face reading book that I’d published long before. Probably, “I Can Read Your Face.”

And now he’s at this again, only more brazenly. Believe it or not, Mr. Fulfer is an attorney. He should know better than to plagiarize another writer’s work… And even its title. Obviously, though. Not.

A Stronger SEO Is My Best Defense Against This Kind of Nonsense

Because, how funny is this? How, back in the day, I got ahead of myself with branding this field.

You see, it was exciting to find the name, “Energy Spirituality.” Understandably, given my experience up to that point, I figured that copycats would emerge. I anticipated loads of them. Only I figured they’d emerge far sooner than they have. 😉

Accordingly, decades ago, I chose to put my name at the front. Hoping that, somehow, “Rosetree Energy Spirituality” would be too hard to copy.

Like planting a shrub in my garden that’s deer-resistant. As if that would protect my garden from drought!

To put it another way, how many people could pretend to deliver the whole field? Realistically. How many Fulfers and Orloffs, and their ilk… Would try copying all the specialties at this blog? You know, pretending to deliver the entire field of Energy Spirituality?

Eventually, this may still happen. But not quite yet.

On the positive side…

Some Progress, Since I Began this Energy Spirituality Rebranding

Have you noticed? I’ve stopped referring to RES. Whenever possible, I substitute the rightful name of this field…

When I had my light bulb experience of SEO, back in August, what happened exactly? For the first time ever, I googled “Energy Spirituality.” Hahaha.

Really, for the first time ever, I googled on “Energy Spirituality.” After using it for decades.

Well, it came up on Page 6 of hits.

However, this field is doing better by now. Even today, search engines are still learning that Energy Spirituality is a thing. However, I’m proud of what I’m about to reveal.

After four months of near-daily work, tinkering with published posts and links… By now:

  1. According to Bing, I’m still not on the first page of an Energy Spirituality search.
  2. Same deal with DuckDuckGo. Sigh!
  3. However, by now, Google does list my work on the first page. (Fourth from the bottom. Perhaps influenced by my own searches. But still.)

How Can You Help Me with this Rebranding?

Please, every time you refer to Energy Spirituality anything… call it that.

Avoid an acronym that I might not need to use for years. If ever.

And please, don’t be like the writer who honored me this year. Praising in print the impact of our many Energy Spirituality sessions. Only she chose to call what we did, “Life Coaching.” Rather than, you know, sessions of Energy Spirituality.

Incidentally, what if you forget to change the terminology? For all future all blog comments, here’s fair warning. Starting today, I’m going to change all new references to RES. Changing them to Energy Spirituality. And without even emailing you for permission.

I trust you’ll understand.

What Else Can You Do?

(Updated 12/23/19)

Probably the simplest thing I know of is this: No bookmarking. Instead, get onto my blog via your favorite search engine. Like, every time you want to go onto this website.

  1. For now, in order to get onto my blog, please search on: What Is STUFF in Energy Spirituality?
  2. Eventually I believe that will take you to one of the better articles that I’ve got right now. About Energy Spirituality. (In contrast to an article from years ago, which now is the only one that shows up. (Namely, shows up if you google on “Energy Spirituality.)
  3. Even if that article named in Step #1 doesn’t appear yet, you can click on something pretty current.
  4. It would also be helpful for you to click on the link in Step #2 here. Which may educate search engines that this article exists.
  5. In short, by doing Steps #1 and #4, we can help a better first article to show up about Energy Spirituality. Then progress from there.

You See, That’s My Plan for Now

Since my latest thinking is to get that particular article to show up under Energy Spirituality. After that makes it onto the first page of hits? Maybe I’ll invite you to search on something different.

Plus, in 2020, I will probably learn more about all this.

Of course, you could find many other fun ways to search on Energy Spirituality specialties. When you find one of my articles, click on it. Then you’re on my blog. From there, open up any article you like.

Personally, I do that search engine game every day. Then I use the list of articles on the right side of this blog to open my window of choice. Just an extra click, really. (Sometimes I’ll also use this website’s search tool to get where I really want to go.)

In Conclusion

Blog-Buddies, in a way, this has been one of my most personal posts. With a degree of vulnerability that I can’t hide.

No, I don’t have an endless budget to prosecute all my trademark infringers. Yes, sometimes I’ve personally contacted folks like Fulfer. (Including Fulfer, actually. So many years ago.) Seldom has that changed a thing.

Yes, here’s what matters more to me. To keep on co-creating and pioneering and delivering…. More ways to help people. No matter what, I’ll keep doing Energy Spirituality. You can be sure.

Because this is the prayer that gets me through each day. Asking God to:

Help me to reach the people I can reach.

And teach the people I can teach.

I think this is so smart and courageous of you, Rose.

Energy Spirituality sessions have changed my life in unimaginable ways. I hope you will reach many more people because of this rebranding.

  2. 2

From your lips to God’s ears, BRITTANY!

And thank you for referring to Energy Spirituality, too.

  3. 3
    Kylie says:

It is very smart and courageous to make this change.

And if all of us who read the blog regularly do locate it by searching “Energy Spirituality” instead of bookmarking, it can make a difference. Thanks for sharing that.

  4. 4

I will absolutely search on Energy Spirituality specialties to get here. Easy!

  5. 5

Thanks for sharing this. I find it so helpful when people are transparent about their business experiences, especially with the craziness of the digital world.

    Sarah Hegland says:

I’ve loved reading your blog, and have been so grateful for the clarity and insights I’ve learned.

I’m also reading a few of your books on kindle.

    Sarah Hegland says:

One piece of feedback that’s come up several times when I’ve shared your blog posts with others is this: “Her writing style is difficult to read.”

  8. 8
    Sarah Hegland says:

I don’t notice it in your books as much (good editor?), but it makes it difficult for the people I know to really get excited about sharing your posts or following your blog.

  9. 9
    Sarah Hegland says:

I find myself re-stating the parts of a post that I find most interesting for them.

I don’t know if that’s helpful or not–I just wonder if you’re missing out on some organic forms of content-sharing because of your unusual blog-writing style. I wish you happy holidays, and thanks again for all your work!

  10. 10

KYLIE, thanks so much for your acknowledgment.

And also for summing up the most practical takeaway.

  11. 11

SANDRA HAERING, you’re right! Doing this can be easy.

    Appreciating your input here. 🙂

  12. 12

SARAH, I’m glad that you have taken the time to appreciate some of what I have to offer. Due to that, it’s not surprising that you have better comprehension of what’s here than some of your friends, who aim to whiz through a blog post.

I wonder if it ever occurred to you — or to them — to acknowledge that this blog generally covers leading-edge topics about living in the Age of Awakening. Information that is authentically new.

  13. 13
    Claudia says:

Sarah, you sure have an interesting way of offering Rose advice. Did you know that a couple of her books were picked up by a division of the Book of the Month Club? And I think she’s had another prestigious book club nod as well.

  14. 14
    Claudia says:

Not to mention dozens of her books that have been sold internationally.

I don’t know of a better written blog. Particularly given the innovative and subtle information that Rose is sharing here, often the first publication of any writing of its kind on that Deeper Perception topic.

  15. 15
    Claudia says:

Mostly I find it really interesting that you have appointed yourself to explain Rose’s work to your friends. Since you have started reading a few of her books. Wow!

You know, if your friends were really all that interested, they could ask Rose their questions at this blog. Then receive a response from the expert on all this. And for free.

  16. 16

Quite spirited there, CLAUDIA. Thank you.

  17. 17

Claudia and Rose, thank you for your replies. I think everyone has valuable perspectives to offer here.

  18. 18
    Sarah Hegland says:

My own field of study and work is around businesses and storytelling, so I’m very tuned in to what makes some things more ‘shareable’ than others.

That often has nothing to do with the value of the content itself!

  19. 19
    Sarah Hegland says:

Someone can get a million+ shares without saying anything valuable.

I can’t speak beyond my own personal experience in sharing Rose’s work with a few friends–it’s obviously a very small and unscientific sample size.

  20. 20
    Sarah Hegland says:

I was just a little saddened to find that something I was so excited about–Rose’s deeply insightful work–was difficult to translate to my friends who are also interested in energy and spirituality.

If that’s not useful or interesting information to you, feel free to ignore it and move on. Wishing you both a peaceful solstice and happy holidays.

  21. 21

Thank you for that gracious follow-up, SARAH.

I do think that CLAUDIA had a point. That your friends might want to read my blog and ask their questions to me directly. If you continue reading this blog and commenting from time to time, you might make some extra friends here.

  22. 22

Regular commenters here do appreciate Energy Spirituality. And they don’t necessarily bring along bunches of friends from other aspects of their lives. Rather, this informal community of curious people who value insights… Blog-Buddies here tend to be thought leaders. Not followers.

As you wisely noted, SARAH, “Someone can get a million+ shares without saying anything valuable.”

  23. 23
    Liane says:

Anyone looking for Energy Spirityality truth, will find a home here.

  24. 24
    Claudia says:

    Exactly, Rose.

  25. 25

    LIANE and CLAUDIA, thanks.

I think you put your finger right on it, LIANE. Whenever people pursue truth here with a genuine interest, they find a home welcoming them.

  26. 26
    Lindsey Lorant says:

Wow, this makes sense. I will call it Energy Spirituality” from now on and search for it, like Kylie suggested. Good ideas!
Yes, seems logically much more encompassing and further reaching.

My very best wishes to your rebranding Rose!

  27. 27

LINDSEY, having you right here with me… makes my joyful work even sweeter.

Thank you for your enthusiastic support, as always.

  28. 28
    Angie says:

Well, I believe it is a good choice Rose: changing your name to Energy Spirituality.

In many things these days, less is more 😉 good branding (if I may call it that), should be simple and elegant and resonate so easily that people catch on the names quickly.

  29. 29
    Angie says:

As to how to reach wider audiences, this is a difficult one.

The content itself is not something everyone wants to read / hear about. Amongst other things, many people still make the amalgam that spirituality = religion.

  30. 30
    Angie says:

And religion is now mostly so 20th century for a lot of people. Also the fact that the New Age frenzy cast a dark shadow on many things, making them look “woo woo” and therefore by extension anyone doing that for a living must be a charlatan.

Perhaps find a way to showcase what you do so that people avoid confusion with what you are not.

  31. 31
    Angie says:

It’s all in the presentation too. It’s that first inpression thing. The structure of the web site, is ot easy to browse, is all the info structured in a logical way ?

  32. 32
    Angie says:

Why not make a list (that’s part of your web site menu items) and curate some blog posts so that the core information is also available at a click ?

(Not sure I ever found a place listing your most interesting articles – perhaps there is and I did not look hard enough)

  33. 33
    Angie says:

Many web sites are full of articles, usually presented in the menu section, or in a sub-menu and I guess people do look for a place where all the important ones are.

I know I do when I discover something, it helps me appreciate what it is I am looking at.

  34. 34
    Angie says:

I know you are doing your very best and that there always will be people trying to rip your work off, as a creative, copyright is important to me and most of us designers are not in a good place right now, on how little respect there is over intellectual property these days.

It is scary even. In some places, it is even inexistant… i let you imagine.

  35. 35
    Angie says:

I don’t mean any of this to be criticism towards you Rose, I am sometimes clumsy at writing things down, that I admit (nothing beats a conversation hey 😉 ) it’s more that being a person who designs web sites and branding, and therefore documents on the topic, help people with their content, looks at the overall experience on web sites etc,

  36. 36
    Angie says:

I believe there are little tweaks you could do to optimisme your site and gain a lot more from it 😉

Btw, search engines also take into account multiple social media posts like Facebook, Twitter etc. And when they see the same content across multiple platforms, it helps boosting your rankings 😉

  37. 37

ANGIE, what a thoughtful set of comments, packed with your experience and good intentions.

You’re giving me, among other things, the opportunity to communicate more clearly. I’ve added a bit to the original post, starting with “To Clarify.”

  38. 38

Regarding your suggestion in Comment #31, this website was updated a few years ago. Given the four interlocking specialties, it is remarkably easy to browse.

  39. 39

Regarding your Comments 32 and 33, please take a look at the right column on your screen right now.

I think you’ll find a list of 10 most recent articles. Then a Top 15 list of blog posts. Plus, lower down, more ways to navigate among the posts. So I agree with these very ideas.

  40. 40

ANGIE, I think your skill with English is remarkable. Especially given the fact that it isn’t a main language in your country. That alone would explain, to me, why you might not have noticed the right column at this blog.

Whatever! Your suggestions there were spot on.

  41. 41

And that Comment #36 is excellent. I could do more on Facebook and Twitter. Thank you for reminding me of that, ANGIE.

Again, you put a lot of thought and heart and expertise into all your suggestions here. I appreciate that, and you.

  42. 42
    Michael says:

Rose, thank you for letting us know. I will absolutely refer to energy spiritually going forward.

It is great to see everyone coming together to support this.

  43. 43

MICHAEL, you’re right. I guess through this post I’ve been giving you Blog-Buddies a chance. Helping me and also helping people who want to benefit from our unique specialties here.

Thank you for your sweet comment. And I agree, so many of you coming together in support. It’s a wonder to me; I’m grateful.

  44. 44
    Living on Earth says:

Yes and yes! Count me in for full on support!

Kylie great suggestion. I visit the blog at least once a day already. So I will make sure to search for Energy Spirituality first when I do. Its a great opportunity to add more value here.

  45. 45
    Living on Earth says:

Doing my small part of this life changing work.

  46. 46

    That’s you, Living on Earth.

Doing your ENORMOUS part, seems to me.

  47. 47
    Evgenia says:

Rose, hope this rebranding goes smoothly! I just did a google search for Enlightenment Coaching and your page came up first.

I will continue using web search to get to this blog.

  48. 48
    Emily Turner says:

100% in on the rebranding effort!

I used to have a bookmark to the blog on my home screen on my iPhone. Have now updated it so the bookmark is now a google search for “Energy Spirituality”. 😊

  49. 49

EVGENIA, thank you for your support, as always.

Yes, I know that — for now — I’m doing best SEO-wise with “Enlightenment Coaching.” Of course, I hope to maintain that.

  50. 50

But I can tell you this. In 2019 I didn’t have a single new Energy Spirituality client who was interested in Enlightenment Coaching. Instead they were interested in specialties like these:

Empath Empowerment, Aura Reading, (Energy Spirituality) ENERGY HEALING

  51. 51

Seems to me, this is where potential clients are searching too. But that have to search quite persistently to find me now. Because where do I show up today on DuckDuckGo?

    * Empath Coaching — Nowhere on the first page of hits. Although I founded this field by publishing the first book for empaths. Plus having the only trademarked system to help empaths.

  52. 52

    * Aura Reading — Nothing from me is on the first page of hits. Does that seem right?
    * Energy Healing — Nowhere on the first page. Although this may be the last Energy Spirituality specialty to break through, wouldn’t you like to see it there?

As you can see, EVGENIA. I’ve got a long way to go in order to be easy to find, for people who are seeking kinds of help that I offer.

  53. 53

It’s sweet that you’ve found THE current bright spot in my Long Way to Go Land. 😉

  54. 54

EMILY TURNER. Thank you for your clever response and 100% support.

Blog-Buddies, in 2019 EMILY has done a tremendous amount of volunteer work — quietly and effectively, hour after hour. Such as finding and fixing innumerable broken links on this huge blog. I will never forget.

  55. 55
    Kylie says:

Thank you Emily for all of your volunteer work!
