Fame Karma But No Talent? Sure, that’s possible.
Fame Karma But No Talent is exactly what we’ve been exploring lately. (See this recent blogpost: “Fame Karma of Claire Danes.”)
Today let’s take a karma-inquisitive look at Florence Pugh. She’s came up in the course of researching the folks requested by some of you Blog-Buddies. Ms. Pugh seems like a pretty extreme example of how fame karma need not include much talent at all.
First of All, Some Background
As the author of “Seeking Enlightenment in the Age of Awakening“, my job includes asking about things: Sometimes those topics are controversial. Fame Karma is turning out to be one of them. You see…
Originally I opened up a Fame Karma Flash Contest at my personal blog. Since then I’ve been working my way through them. So far we’ve researched six stars, including Florence Pugh. Simply researching how well their acting went, using the skills of Aura Reading Movie Research.
What wasn’t I prepared to discover? How really-really-really unskilled their acting was.
As a result, the FAME KARMA idea has progressed to that bluntly- stated topic you’ve read at the top of this article: FAME KARMA BUT NO TALENT.
Huh, Florence Pugh? A Big Star?
No worries, if you’ve never heard of her before. She’s a young actress in England. Somebody you’ll get to know more about soon, know fairly shockingly, just by continuing to read this article.
What do all six of these stars have in common? To put it bluntly…
Fame Karma But No Talent. That’s what they have in common.
For years I’ve used advanced skills of aura reading to compare the chakra databanks of performers when acting. Compared to those same chakra databanks when the actor is simply “Being myself, a celebrity.”
(Find examples of this counter-culture version of reading auras at Aura Reading Movie Research. Also, readers have been waking up from certain acting expectations… simply by reading our blogpost about Aura Reading TV Research. )
Comments about Fame Karma have been flowing at my blog, responding to the earlier Fame Karma blogpost. Together, our informal community at the Energy Spirituality™ Blog… We’ve gained a dawning comprehension. Quite often, stars with Fame Karma are shockingly bad as actors.
So Uncommon, Any Mainstream Understanding of Fame Karma!
Therefore, you independent-minded readers just might want to explore the knowledge here. In many ways, understanding karma better can help all of us to overcome big illusions that confuse millions of our peers.
How else can this kind of understanding help you? Whether or not you agree with every word here:
- You may stop believing that “life is unfair.” (Just now, at my Google, 1,400,000 hits for that idea.)
Perhaps you’ll view famous people with more clarity. Even with wisdom!
- More than ever, you’ll appreciate that Fame Is the Most Addictive Drug on the Planet. Thus you can free yourself up from fame cravings. These never help anyone.
Both true and useful. Yet, just now, at my Google, 3 hits for that idea. Learn more at this article about how and why… Fame Is the Most Addictive Drug on the Planet.
- Finally, if you’re among those who are “Seeking Enlightenment in the Age of Awakening,” hello! Any striving toward using your full potential in life will yield better results if you smash illusions like “Famous for Being Famous.“
As if fame, itself, meant accomplishing anything worthwhile. (That famous-famous idea, just searched at my Google, brought well over 4 BILLION hits.)

Poignant Comment Conversation Developed around Florence Pugh
I’m going to excerpt some of that for you now. Feel free to COMMENT below.
Starting with Comment #1075 from Blog-Buddy THEODORE
It seems that there is quite a price to be paid, here, to be famous due to Fame Karma, but not have commensurate ability.
The kind of person you can become if you are constantly, lavishly rewarded despite not doing things that are worthy of all that reward and praise (in this lifetime).
There doesn’t seem to be a logical feedback loop, between “I did a good thing” and “I got good consequences”. I know life doesn’t always work like that, but having that dynamic be just plain broken?
I guess we’re back at the learning potential inherent in Karmic delay, right?
Would I be right in guessing that a soul has to earn the right to take certain courses? You build up enough of a certain type of good Karma, and now you get to take the fame course?
Enlightenment Teacher Rose’s First Responses, from Comment #1080
Thanks for these thoughtful-and-interesting comments, THEODORE. I can’t respond directly, because mostly this is a mystery to me. No sessions that I have facilitated for clients have brought me to this kind of information. Like, offering much of a direct response would be above my job description as an Enlightenment Teacher.
I do think, the most important point you made here came right at the start:
To be famous due to Fame Karma, but not have commensurate ability.
Following that, These Next Ideas Flowed and Flowed
Starting at Comment #1082.
Only the term “commensurate” isn’t quite right, perhaps. Every personal strength is an independent variable.
Imagine the beautiful soul who would incarnate as Florence Pugh. Let’s imagine a kind of dialog that’s she’s having a planning meeting.
Hypothetically, in making her life contract, the soul I’ll call “Florence” is told by Jesus, or whichever Divine Being is having the planning meeting with her….
Hypothetically, then, JESUS offers the soul Florence…
An Opportunity for Her Next Incarnation on Earth
Yes indeed, before birth, souls are offered a Life Contract. More experienced souls, who’ve incarnated often and well… Sometimes they will negotiate. By contrast, younger souls aren’t so likely to say much beyond yes or no.
Although the following example is fictional… You can read several chapters that are not-at-all fictional, here, in “Bigger than All the Night Sky“
In this fictional version that follows. Suggesting the kind of conversation that might have happened with Florence’s Planning Meeting over her next Life Contract?
Jesus offered her this:
1. You can have a lifetime where you are a famous actress.
2. You can accept this particular life contract or not. If you don’t want it, I have three other choices I could offer you, at your current level of spiritual evolution. And you could have Fame Karma in another lifetime.
To help you decide about this one, I have more to tell you about this particular incarnation you’re being offered.
3. Having acting talent is, of course, an entirely different consideration from fame.
If you accept this life contract, you won’t have talent available for acting.
And That’s Hardly the Only Problem Built into Doing Her Fame Incarnation as a Very Young Soul
4. It’s possible that you could work really hard at developing skill as an actress, and that could make some difference. But you’d likely max out at 10% of the degree of talent need to be a competent professional actress, given the time in history when you’ll be alive.
5. Working as a famous actress on Earth, you will be far more successful if you have the gift of a beautiful face and a gorgeous body.
Unfortunately, in this lifetime you will have neither.
6. Working as a famous actress on Earth, your experiences when growing up will not help you to develop a strong sense of self.
At best, yours will be about 2% of what most ordinary people, with a moderately good mental health, will have.
7. There’s a strong likelihood that you will be offered — or will seek out — recreational substances like marijuana or stronger drugs.
You can use your free will to get past this inclination, but if do you get started with this kind of choice, you’ll gradually poison your consciousness and will find it impossible to stop taking drugs.
Additional Personal Limitations…
8. Intelligence is another human capability that could make it easy for you to survive and thrive as an actress, particularly a famous one.
However, for this lifetime you’ll have a good enough memory to learn your lines. But not much more intelligence than that.
9. If you accept this life contract, you’ll also lack imagination, creativity, and intellectual curiosity.
Nor will you be born with caring about people other than yourself. Unless there’s an immediate advantage to be gained by you in getting to know that person better.
FLORENCE Interrupts…
Wait a minute. Did you say I would be FAMOUS?????????
People will know my name? I’ll be somebody important?
JESUS Responds…
Being famous does mean that many people will know your name.
Will you be important to your audience, important in the sense of helping them to grow spiritually or emotionally?
At your present level of evolution, that’s very unlikely.
I see how happy you are at this idea, Florence. Listen while I tell you a little more
Will you be important to your audience, important in a social sense, like being popular with many people? Yes. That’s the kind of fame you will have, at least early in your life.
JESUS Continues…
Remember, you do not have to take that Fame Elective at Earth School right now. You might prefer to wait until you have dedicated some lifetimes to developing talent as an actress.
You might also prefer to dedicate some lifetimes to growing as a person in all the ways I’ve mentioned. You’re still a very young soul, Florence.
Keep in mind, most souls only get to have one Fame Elective. Other than that one incarnation, fame during any other lifetime may never be an option for you again, no matter what you achieve in more evolved incarnations.
FLORENCE Says, in the Angel Equivalent of a Screamingly Loud Voice
Jesus, did you say I would be FAMOUS?????????
In that incarnation, where I live, can I have many ways to look at myself and admire myself?
JESUS Says…
Oh, you mean like having many mirrors in your house?
(Then Jesus explains what mirrors are.)
Jesus tells this young soul that, yes, in this life contract being offered to her, she can have as many of mirrors as she wants. Plus she can watch videos of herself. She can read about herself in “media.”
“Think about this Choice Before you Agree,” Jesus Continues
Do you have any more questions?
Do you understand that it may not be that fulfilling to have the combination of Fame Karma and lacking the other things I have told you about here?
FLORENCE Says…
I guess I have one more question.
When I am famous in this life contract, will people look at my body? Will a lot of people admire my body?
Can I dress in such a way that people can see my body? Will that be allowed?
JESUS Says, “Yes.”
FLORENCE Says…
I understand everything. I might be smarter than you think, Jesus.
Give me that life, okay?
In Conclusion, Nothing. Together, We’re Still Exploring
Your thoughts, Blog-Buddies?

I love it. I love it.
MELISSA, I’m so glad this article is meaningful to you.
All of us have heard the wise Chinese fable, “The Emperor’s New Clothes.”
Maybe it’s time that some of us spread the word that actors and others who are famous for being famous, hey!
Maybe it’s time that we stopped treating famous celebs as if they deserved our attention. Let alone our adulation.
Thank you so much for that exploration of what Florence’s planning meeting might have been like.
It made me extra grateful for some of the qualities I have in this lifetime. And very grateful that I am NOT famous this lifetime.
If most people only realized that fame is the most addictive drug on the planet!
ANNE, I’m glad you’re not squandering your life in pursuit of an empty illusion.
Living now, we can be Seeking Enlightenment in the Age of Awakening.
Why try Seeking FAME in the Age of Awakening? What a waste that would be.
Rose, thank you for this fascinating hypothetical about how such a planning meeting could have gone.
The idea that most souls will only do the fame elective once… quite comforting in a way.
And the idea that there are electives, not just a core curriculum, is very interesting!
I can see how someone could be very tempted… multiple lifetimes to get really ready to make the most of that elective?
It would be a long wait to put off what could seem like a great treat.
Perhaps having the wisdom to defer that elective for a while, is one of the secrets of truly great actors.
A genuine feat and worthy of respect.
And, I just loved this: “Every personal strength is an independent variable.”
So cool! Such gloriously infinite individuality available to humanity.
Indeed!
Thanks, THEODORE.
The examples you provided for the hypothetical planning meeting of making the life contract of Florence Pugh was very interesting.
Thank you for taking the time to write it, Rose.
The chapter for the planning meeting from your memoir “Bigger All The Night Sky” is one of my favorite parts of that book.
VICTORIA, the hypothetical planing meeting in this article (and also the related comments in the Fame Karma blogpost “starring” Claire Danes) were an unusual kind of writing for me to do.
What prompted me to do it? How hard it was for readers to understand how such a thing was possible.
Cocreating blog writing (as as always) — it’s never just Rose Rosetree. Rather it’s the Divine Being I’ve asked to help me on that day, plus Rose Rosetree, a joint venture.
My preparation to write this hypothetical planing meeting includes:
1. What I experienced as a client for past-life regression, re-experiencing the Planning Meeting that I had in this lifetime.
2. How I remembered my surgery at age five, going back Home, and then the many chapters I wrote about agreeing to my Life Contract, while writing and editing “Bigger than All the Night Sky.”
Was that five chapters last time I counted? For sure, that was many chapters.
3. For decades I facilitated sessions of past-life regression; after studying with Dr. Coletta Long, I wound up adapting her method considerably, then trademarking that as Soul Energy Awakening Hypnosis®.
4. If any of you are curious about that source of info for writing this blogpost, definitely contributing to my worldview as an Enlightenment Teacher, this YouTube video about facilitating past-life regressions might interest you.
Incidentally, after the Covid Pandemic I stopped offering these sessions. When (and if) I’m ready to do this again, I’ll announce that at this blog, for sure.
The way you play out the hypothetical planning meeting in this blog post is really illuminating.
By the end I felt embarrassed vicariously… but also much more understanding how someone would make that choice.
Thanks.
You’re welcome, OSCAR MANUEL. Hey, we’ve all been young souls. Who can’t remember thinking something like this: “Lots of people will admire my body? That’s enough for me.”
Maybe embarrassing, maybe funny. Right now, I prefer to choose funny.
Thank you for the laugh, here, ROSE.
I really enjoyed the hypothetical conversation between the soul who would become “FLORENCE” and JESUS.
In that sense, even though it seems so useless, in my humble opinion, to have such a vacuous inner life for a lifetime (at least the early years), I say “bravvva”.
KATIE, lovely to hear from you again. Before continuing to publish these chunks of comment, regarding your Comment #26, do you know the expression, “Don’t knock it ’till you’ve tried it”?
What you wrote strikes me as a real-life version of this:
“I tried it. Now I can knock it.”
Baby souls do all kinds of things that older souls would find meaningless.
I think of an ageing Heather Locklear – who used and was used by the entertainment machine for her body and looks – and hearing about her later in life. Seemed more like a cautionary tale.
And yet brave to identify so strongly with youth and beauty as to lose so much momentum in areas of life that can make the long-haul not only bearable but beautiful.
Anyway, sorry to go off topic with that example.
Spiritual education, like studying here with YOU and BLOG-BUDDIES, and then using the gifts to make my life better and hopefully the lives of others better, seems to make me feel Younger than I am as a middle-aged woman.
I’m curious: part of me is cheering Florence on with this lifetime – wanting her to get what she needs out of this incarnation – and part of me cringes and feels a sort of “anger” or even contempt at how she is so different from me and the way I value life for creating a sustainable life (relatively) for myself and my loved ones at earth-school.
Can you speak to this? What am I missing?
Since you asked, KATIE, might I respectfully suggest?
That’s a lot of caring, curiosity, passion, and etc. to lavish upon a messed-up person whose life need be no concern of yours.
Not every random person who crosses our paths, or can be googled successfully, is worth a whole lot of our time.
I really enjoyed your memoir “Bigger Than All The Night Sky”.
Among many other chapters, I especially loved reading the ones about your planning your Life Contract, Rose.
I’ve read those chapters several times with same curiosity, and each time learned something different.
Goes without saying that the example you provided here is quite different than the one in your book.
As I imagine every Life Contact Planning session is uniquely designed for that soul.
This blog post provided a different perspective and clarity for me on this topic. And as far as I’m aware this kind of information is not available at any other blog.
Thank you!
Sweet of you, HENRY!
I agree completely that every Life Contract, and Planning Meeting, is uniquely designed for that soul.
Yes, the Energy Spirituality Newsletter for April 2023 has just arrived in your in-box. (If you subscribed. Hope you did.)
Dear ROSE, thank you for your dear comments.
I appreciate your respect and thank you for helping this blog-buddy and Energy Spirituality Client have a better life!
Sweet of you, KATIE. Isn’t it a topsy-turvy society we live in right now, where so many actors with neither talent nor skill are revered?
Moreover, as the popular illusion would have it, these performers are revered precisely for being so good at acting, etc.
Looking at our society from a spiritual perspective, what matters? It isn’t fame, not adoring crowds of confused fans.
God is within each of us, and God appreciates when we do our reasonable best here at Earth School. That’s what I mean by “shining our light.”
From that spiritual perspective, whenever we shine our light, we inspire others to also live like good people, to do our dharma… even if most people don’t notice or care, not yet.
What matters is each person who grows, and who inspires others through what we say and do.
(And yes, subconsciously and energetically we automatically inspire others through our Auric Modeling, too.)
KATIE, which Energy Spirituality™ students do the best over time? Those who don’t give up, who refuse to give up, who keep going — whether that’s:
* Reading one of our books — most strongly recommended now for most folks is “Seeking Enlightenment in the Age of Awakening“.
* Taking an Energy Spirituality online workshop — most strongly recommended now for most folks is “Creativity Secrets with Soul.”
* Best of all, if you can swing it, is to have regular sessions with me as an Energy Spirituality client. Maybe once a month?
(If you ask me at the end of a personal session, I can make a recommendation for you about the frequency of having sessions that would ideally be best for you at this time.)
* Having even one personal session can make a big difference for accelerating your personal growth and spiritual awakening.
Or, to put it in practical terms, even one session can help you to become more resourceful at solving problems in your life.
* Reading this blog, commenting, spreading the word to others about this blog — even mentions in social media of books like “Empath Empowerment in 30 Days“. That means, real-deal Empath Empowerment®, not the cheap imitations. Why does that matter for Collective Consciousness, and for people ever finding my indie-published books?
* That can make a significant difference, making it possible for others to learn that these exist. Surprisingly influential are your LIKES at websites like Goodreads. These make a significant difference for discoverability. You’re taking a stand to upgrade Collective Consciousness. (And also help this somewhat hardworking founder of Energy Spirituality.)
Yesterday, thanks to Blog-Buddy STEVE, we had an extraordinary, eye-opening series of comments.
It happened at our first Fame Karma blogpost, at Comments #1296 -1363.
Simply reading this, maybe also adding your observations, reactions, and any other comments of your own, can help bring this powerful truth into Earth.
Btw, what do I mean about how your LIKES at websites like Goodreads make a significant difference for SEO?
After you join Goodreads you could simply go onto my Author Page there, and then LIKE:
* Every one of my books that you like.
* Every one of my videos there.
* The version of my latest blogpost featured there.
* Any book review by Rose Rosetree that you happen to like.
Let me give you an example of how those easy clicks can make a difference to an indie writer like me.
Just yesterday I was reviewing some new books on Goodreads, including the first picture book I ever encountered that is — to this Enlightenment Teacher — about experiencing the presence of God.
Really! Amazingly! Just take a look at my Goodreads review for “Whose Garden Is It?”
Now that’s a book that deserves recognition.
Goodreads has lots of compartments and cubbyholes. (That’s why Blog-Buddy ISABELLA has set up the Goodreads Volunteer Program, to help us make a big-and-cumulative difference through just one hour of your time.)
Well, one of my places on Goodreads is called my “Profile.” Just one click away, if you know where to click, which is at that link just provided.
What’s the point here, KATIE and other Blog-Buddies? At my Goodreads Profile two statistics appear about my “ranking” there in a couple of different ways.
These are ever-changing. Notably though, at this moment, how am I doing on Goodreads?
#6 rating on Goodreads among TOP Reviewers
#32 rating on Goodreads among BEST Reviewers
That rating among TOP Reviewers is my job, Rose Rosetree’s job. This rating depends upon how often I review books at Goodreads, compared to how many book reviews are done by others.
But that rating among BEST Reviewers is not my job. I cannot do that job. This rating depends upon how often people like you take a moment to LIKE and COMMENT, regarding anything from Rose Rosetree that appears on Goodreads.
What makes these two statistics a big deal for spreading the word about Energy Spirituality?
Because the Goodreads platform has 125 MILLION members. Believe it or not, that’s even more people than those who read my personal blog, “Deeper Perception Made Practical.”
ROSE, Love this comment: “KATIE, which Energy Spirituality™ students do the best over time? Those who don’t give up, who refuse to give up, who keep going — . . .”
And your examples are inspiring. I plan to sign up for the workshop you mentioned within a month.
By the way, did I see you offer question and answers from your perspective as a self-published indie author on your Goodreads platform?
Hooray all around, KATIE.
And yes, I do respond on Goodreads to questions for me as an author. That would be over at my Author Profile, at the link just provided.
For extra fun, you can LIKE any of my book reviews and also COMMENT on them.
Don’t think these must be all fancy-like. Pretend you’re texting me there on Goodreads. Usually I answer.
COMMENTS like these on Goodreads show up right away, unlike comments at my monitored blog — these I work in as best I can, given the flow of comments and the time I have available.
Also good to know? Ask the Author questions on Goodreads do not show up immediately. They only show up when I write a response, and then the whole shebang goes live.
Also, it’s good form (I understand) to only respond to these questions once every couple of weeks, so don’t think I’m snubbing you.
Finally, another way you can have conversations with me on Goodreads is at the blogpost, because our new Monday blogposts now go live at my author page there.
With any comment you put onto a current blogpost here — like this one, through April 16 — hey!
Before you click it through, what fun! You can copy it and put it onto the version of my blog on Goodreads. That way you can get two different answers from me. (Different yet complementary.)
The reason I go into all this detail is that many of us, these days, especially thanks to ISABELLA — we’re realizing that whatever goes onto any of my Goodreads conversations… has much greater likelihood of reaching new people, some of that gang of 125 MILLION readers.
Thanks for the details about how to help boost your excellent books and blog at Goodreads, Rose.
I didn’t think about commenting on your blog posts there. Good idea.
This article and the following comments reminded me of what it was confusing to me back in middle school about popularity.
I distinctly remember being confused about why the boys liked this one click of popular girls who were really nasty pieces of work.
They were cute enough and knew how to wear the right outfits but they weren’t very intelligent or funny or really fun at all.
Plus, were mean and two of them had bullied me on and off since elementary school.
One of my good friends went all in on being friends with them at that time and I just didn’t want to play their nasty game.
I asked my mom something like, “Gladys wants to be friends with these mean girls and I don’t really want to hang out with them even though they are popular, but if I don’t, Gladys and I won’t really be friends anymore. I don’t understand why she likes them.”
My mom said something to me that for some people being popular is the most important thing, much more important than being a good friend.
That helped me shift my friendship to another girl who was more interested in being a good friend and was also intelligent and fun, but not ever popular.
Thanks, VIOLET, for all you’ve just added here.
Between that sample of advice from your wise mother, and your courage in following through… I’m not surprised that you’d wind up living in Age of Awakening Enlightenment. :)
Quite interesting notions to consider here, I’d say.
I’m wondering now too, why I may have signed up for certain components of my life contract.
Considering the lessons I may have set out to learn, could that help me make sense of some difficulties I’ve faced thus far in my life?
More broadly too, it seems obvious that certain gifts really needn’t correspond to another. A beautiful face guarantees no correlation to a giving heart.
Is it collective consciousness, or the illusory nature of earth, that seems to suggest otherwise?
Fame? That must imply some greater achievement, some intelligence or inventiveness, right?
Yet, the recent blog research suggests quite the opposite.
Though, these illusions can be pretty sticky and pretty tricky, even if we’re lucky enough to mostly know better.
Knowing better, piercing illusions, is a triumph of the human spirit.
Don’t be discouraged, MARCUS and other Blog-Buddies. Everything we say and do that goes beyond cliches and illusions… helps to upgrade humanity’s Collective Consciousness. To me, we’re also ennobling the human experience.
Small point, re Comments #81-82. Don’t go there.
Waste of time, MARCUS.
Big point, re your entire recent series of comments: MARCUS you just helped this blog cross another milestone. Thanks to you and others, we’re now over 117,000 comments here. Hooray!
