Face Reading Spike Lee

Face Reading Spike Lee, a uniquely courageous filmmaker

Face reading Spike Lee is a kind of first for this blog. Today, for the first time, I’ll profile someone whose creativity specializes in anger.

It’s a righteous anger, I get that. Until I started preparing this face reading, the following thought never occurred to me:

I don’t think I’ve ever watched a movie or TV show or listened to music whose primary purpose included expressing anger. Neither justified anger, nor stored-up anger. Not random anger, and not even the special form of  rage and resentment that gets froze into Goth.

The closest I’ve come has been to watch something that transmuted anger or resentment into laughter. Such as political satire or Saturday Night Live-style spoofing.

How about you, Blog-Buddies? Who is the angriest singer or songwriter you’ve ever loved? Have you ever left a movie — whether Spike Lee’s or someone else’s — and concluded, “Exploring that rage, unfairness, and misery… really was important for me.”
