Thanksgiving Celebration of the Really Great Miracles

Grateful for Thanksgivvukah, a season of miracles

American or not, you can make this Thanksgiving a great day to open your heart. Especially because today also coincides with Hanukkah, you might open your heart to miracles, too. Today has been called “Thanksgivukkah.”

Hanukah celebrates a miracle, the re-dedication of the holy Temple in Jerusalem following the Jewish victory over the Syrian-Greeks in 165 B.C.E. And, in particular, how one day’s worth of oil (required for the re-dedication) lasted for eight days.

If it weren’t for the American Jews, living in a Christian-dominated society, Hanukkah would be considered a minor holiday.  Judaism hinges on large, flashier miracles. The burning bush. Or the big Passover miracles, which include the sparing of first-born sons and the parting of the Red Sea.

You know what I give big thanks for on this Thanksgivukkah?

Could You Be Reading Auras Right Now?

Really, could you be reading auras right now? Without officially learning skills?

Honestly, what’s the big deal with learning skills?

Recently Blog-Buddy MIKE raised an important question about Deeper Perception in his Comment 1073 at our Enlightenment Life List post.

Farewell, Spiritual Addiction. Moving towards Enlightenment

Farewell Spiritual Addiction

Farewell Spiritual Addiction, I’m learning a better way to position my consciousness

Farewell, Spiritual Addiction. Because I’m learning a better way to move towards Enlightenment.

What’s the key? Positioning my consciousness.Yesterday’s post explored today’s epidemic of spiritual addiction, relating it to the global pandemic of obesity and common confusions within the New Age community.

For today the more joyful flip side of the coin: What is so wonderful about positioning your consciousness at the human level?

Because your freedom to position your consciousness effortlessly is amazing. It really is.

Positioning your consciousness

Of course you have consciousness. Even before your baby eyes could focus well, you had consciousness. Of course, “consciousness” simply means being awake inside, noticing one thing at a time.

Long before multi-tasking became popular, you could do one thing at a time:

  • Relish a spring tulip.
  • Smell apple pie.
  • Eat a bite of that pie, one mouth at a time and one mouthful at a time.

Better Guidance in 2012

Guidance matters always. But at the start of a new year, we are most apt to think about guidance. (Which is why I offer my workshop on Guidance the first weekend in each new year.)

You have so many choices to make this year, for good or ill, choices big and small.

For instance, will you choose to study aura reading by means of energetic literacy or psychic development? Okay, that’s probably not your biggest practical concern. 😉

You also will be making choices about where you work, what you do for hobbies, which friendships you cultivate, how you plan to lose that weight, etc.  So which of the following are you most apt to consult?
