Moving Forward Gracefully in the Age of Aquarius

Age of Aquarius living compared to an airport’s moving walkway

Living today, it’s like walking forward on a fast moving walkway. The momentum for speed carries us forward like one of those motorized thingies they have at airports. Even if you stand still, clutching your suitcase, another passenger may pass you by, moving even faster.

Good luck staying comfortable, no matter how fast or slowly you wish to go.

That’s life in this Age of Aquarius, where collective consciousness all over the world is evolving so fast. In the country I know best, America, this has been a month of such social and political change.

  • A huge victory for gay rights and a hideous defeat for the opposers.
  • A humiliating loss for those who are now stockpiling Confederate flags like crazy, while they can still get them.
  • Fuming rage or frustrated incredulity for those who support gun control, at watching yet another murder.
  • Horror that the Affordable Care Act is still the law of the land.
  • Buttons pushed first by Caityn Jenner, then by Rachel Dolezal.
  • And all that’s just America. What anybody concerned about financial security who lives right now in Greece? Or marriage conservatives in Ireland? What about so much more….

Aura Reading Rev. Rick Warren. A Spiritual Perspective on the Supreme Court Decision about Marriage Equality

Celebrity Pastor Rick Warren, ready for his aura reading

Today’s Supreme Court decision in favor of same sex marriage is certainly dominating American news today. Coincidentally this morning I was preparing to write a blog post today on a topic like “What is spiritual experience, anyway?”

This was prompted by recent comments at the Empath Empowerment Skills Group on Facebook. We need to lay that groundwork as part of the continuing education there about what it means to become a skilled empath.

I thought this topic would be of interest to all you Blog-Buddies. What IS spiritual experience, anyway?

The timing is so great, here. Nice touch, Universe! Because now I can bring an aura reading perspective to a “Spiritual” cause that may not really be so very spiritual.

Auras show us the truth

When love is in the content of your character, the ordinariness of marriage equality

When love refines the content of your character

When love refines the content of your character

Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., being honored today throughout America, famously said:

“I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character.”

Yesterday I attended a kind of wedding party that was a first for me. It taught me a great deal about what it could mean, having love at the core of your character.

That wedding party  also educated me about a new kind of legal love in America, made possible by a shift in collective consciousness during our lifetimes, Blog-Buddies.

In a growing number of American states, that shift to our collective consciousness — and the law — allows marriage equality.

Yesterday my husband MITCH and I  attended a wedding party in honor of JOE and JOHN. (In today’s article I’m not using names of the party guests out of respect for the privacy of people involved, none of whom saw my invisible “Blog Press Credentials.”)

An ordinary celebration of marriage between two men

The happy couple married recently at a county courthouse in Maryland. A few wedding-time pictures were taken in front of some lovely flowers. Plastic flowers. Courthouse variety.

Yesterday’s follow-up party for friends took place at a lovely Marriott hotel, one known for outstanding food. With real flowers.

In many respects, this was simply an ordinary wedding reception, timed a bit after the legal wedding ceremony. Good food. Good music. Lovely meeting rooms at a comfortably appointed hotel.

This was no Bridezilla bash, nothing ostentatious. Guests were the couple’s friends from a variety of social contexts, everyone meeting and mingling. Wine flowed freely, and so did the  conversation.

Before this event, in response to questions about bridal registry, JOE had written to us guests that our presence would be gift enough

“We have been together for 30 years. We already have everything we need.”

Imagine, married yet not-legally-married for three decades!

Marriage Equality, Divinely Blessed

Marriage Equality, Divinely Blessed

Marriage Equality, Divinely Blessed. Aura reading brings perspective on sacred married love.

Marriage Equality, Divinely Blessed. Aura reading research has convinced me. Every legal marriage, entered into by mutual consent, is blessed by God.

The President’s change of position about same-sex marriage parallels much of the growth in collective consciousness over marriage equality. A support of marriage equality that can be perfectly compatible with Christianity. Obama called to congratulate the first couple in San Francisco to get married after the Supreme Court struck down the “Defense of Marriage Act” last Wednesday.

Collective Consciousness, What's That?

collective consciousness

Collective consciousness, where each of us counts as a piece of an evolving puzzle.

Collective consciousness — do you know what that means? Since it impacts your life every single day, learning about collective consciousness can help you with personal growth.

Collective consciousness has been mentioned often at this blog. Never before have I dedicated a blog post to defining it. Nor to exploring why collective consciousness is such an important part of my mission, here at “Deeper Perception Made Practical” … and with my healing work in general.

Hmm, collective consciousness is such an important theme, I feel like rolling up my sleeves when getting to work. Except it’s the last day in June, a gorgeous day here in Sterling, Virginia. My shirt has short sleeves, actually.

However, I am choosing to write this blog post rather than putter around in my garden on this gorgeous summer day. So collective consciousness must be important to me. If I succeed at today’s post, collective consciusness will remain — or become — really important to you, too.
