What does cutting cords of attachment have in common with counting sheep?

Could this be the start of a joke? “What does cutting cords of attachment have in common with counting sheep?”

No, it’s a slightly lighthearted but ultimately serious question, given some of the conversations people can have about what is involved in cutting cords of attachment, when to do it, why to do it, etc.

“What does cutting cords of attachment have in common with counting sheep?” Definitely something.

Whichever Cords of Attachment You Cut for Yourself, Avoid This Kind

Following up on Big Problems Averted by Cutting a Cord of Attachment After a Death, here is a start of an answer to KATIE’s excellent question about where to start when self-healing by cutting cords of attachment.

There is one big no. Do NOT cut these cords of attachment for yourself…

Even if you have excellent skills at self-healing with the 12 Steps to Cut Cords of Attachment®, I urge you not to attempt to cut a cord of attachment when someone who has recently died or committed suicide. Neither to the late individual, nor to family members or friends of the deceased person.

Or to a person who has died, however long ago, if that person was a blood relative, a lover, or someone else of very big importance in your life.

I’ll supplement that fair warning with today’s article.

The target audience for today’s article is you, your friends, and anyone you know who has learned any of the self-healing techniques of Rosetree Energy Spirituality (RES).

Self-Healing with RES Can Definitely Empower You, But…

When he called for his session of aura healing, my client Joe was pretty upset. He’s the top executive at a major company. In that leadership capacity, Joe oversees multiple facilities, supervising dozens of managers; he is responsible for the livelihood of thousands.

And usually that Joe is pretty darned serene, no matter which problem he faces.

But for this phone session, Joe was audibly upset. One of his top managers, the CFO, just died in a car crash. The sudden death of “Mr. Gladys” shook my long-term client.

Joe’s intention for the session was to enjoy his life more. And that session proved very successful for him, both helping him now plus — it turned out — Joe’s session safeguarded him against problems that could have arisen in the future.

How to get rid of energetic cords

What are energetic cords? How do they differ from cords of attachment? Or do both terms mean the same thing?

Let’s have some fun with this educational topic, Blog-Buddies. I’ll supply 10 myths about energetic cords… and how to get rid of them.

Being Corded? People Re-Cording You?

Being Corded?

Being Corded? Having someone re-cording to you? Oh, let’s clear out these false fears.

Being Corded? Or having somebody re-cord to you? Why aren’t are fears like this a sign of confusion?

First of all, some context, Blog-Buddies.

Yesterday was my last day of doing RES Sessions at London’s College of Psychic Studies in 2012. And, wouldn’t you know it, two different clients came to me with terrible fears related to cord-cutting, fears that were totally groundless.

Cutting cords of attachment to a GREAT relationship

Trust Blog-Buddy GRACE S. to ask something really deep. It would have been Comment #20 in the post about Karma + Yuckiness Index + Cords of Attachment, all part of your path to Enlightenment , only the set of questions was too, too fabulous.

So I turned her comment into a promise that I would do this guest post. Today I make good on that promise.

In the “Q&A Conversation” that follows, I will alternate GRACE’s words (as if Questions) with my answers (as if they were Answers). Here we go!

Can you cut your cord of attachment to God?

Yes, for heaven’s sake.

Of course, you have a cord of attachment to God. This is an ongoing relationship, more-or-less vivid since you first became aware of the concept of God.

Like any important relationship, you have a spiritual tie which cannot be removed and is completely separate from any cord of attachment.

Can you cut a cord of attachment to past lives?

The question came in from a smart and curious reader, “Jasmine.” If you believe in past lives, you may have wondered the same thing: What happens to all your cords of attachment to the people you have known before?

And if you cut a cord of attachment to “Joe,” whom you know in this lifetime, what about all the times you have known him as Jane or Jake or Josephine or Jeremiah or Jingles? Could you be very efficient and just cut ’em all at one time?

Pranic Healing, Energetic Cords, Some Very Big Differences

Those Very Big Differences in the title of this article would, of course, be between the Pranic Healing approach to cutting “energetic cords” and my system of 12 Steps to Cut Cords of Attachment(R).

Thanks so much to Nick, who asked this question:

I was curious though, have you ever heard of pranic healing? They talk about cords, and removing them, I was curious if you know of any difference, because to me they seem the same.

Re-Cording from a Cord of Attachment

“Should I be afraid of re-cording?” My client, Gladys, asked this yesterday.

“You’ve already cut Cords of Attachment to my mother, my father, my sister. Every time, I’ve had great results and there has been no question in my mind. Those cords are gone. They haven’t come back, and I have noticed unmistakable results.

“But lately I’ve been reading about the problem of re-cording. What can you tell me about that? Should I be worried?
