Let Today Be a Holiday. A Thanksgiving Share.

Let today be a magnificent holiday for you and those you love.

Let today be a magnificent holiday for you and those you love.

Blog-Buddies, today is Thanksgiving in America. In that spirit, I’m going to share with you one of the poems from “Let Today Be a Holiday.”

Or, as it’s called eBook fashion, “365 Ways to a Stronger You”…

Whenever you celebrate a big holiday, you may have feel your heart singing right from when you first woke up. Here are some words for that feeling.

Let today be a holiday, a holy day of wonders.

Choose Your Thanksgiving

Today's Thanksgiving can be done YOUR WAY.

Today’s Thanksgiving can be done YOUR WAY.

In America today is Thanksgiving. Wherever you live, whenever you read this, it can be YOUR Thanksgiving, done your way.

So often we Americans celebrate the holiday with family, or as a Friendsgiving, with food, with exercise like the increasingly popular “Turkey Trot.”

This time, just for a few minutes, I’d like to experiment with something extra.

Choosing one of my many roles in life, I’m going to find and feel and express my thanks.

Come visit on Thanksgiving in energetic real time

You’re invited to join our Voice-Activated Thanksgiving Party

This coming Thursday, November 27, 2014 is a major American holiday, Thanksgiving. Here is a way to add to your celebration this year.

I’m hosting a Voice-Activated Thanksgiving Party, a get-together via conference call.

You’re welcome to call in any time between 8:00 and 9:00 p.m. EST, 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. Central, 5:00 to 6:00 p.m. Pacific. (In other time zones, I leave it to you to figure this out courtesy of this time zone converter or your own excellent math skills.)

I’ll be there, along those other Blog-Buddies whose festivities take place earlier in the day.

It’s free, this Voice-Activated Thanksgiving Party

You are invited to bring along a song to sing or words to read or a spontaneous something to share, building a spirit of celebration and gratitude.

Not required, simply encouraged.

For many of us, it’s time to build family of choice

Family of blood is all well and good. But that doesn’t have to limit your relationships. You can supplement your family of biological origin in this lifetime with your family of choice. Perhaps our informal community here is becoming an extra support system for you. Well, you’re cordially invited, no strings attached.

Thanksgiving Celebration of the Really Great Miracles

Grateful for Thanksgivvukah, a season of miracles

American or not, you can make this Thanksgiving a great day to open your heart. Especially because today also coincides with Hanukkah, you might open your heart to miracles, too. Today has been called “Thanksgivukkah.”

Hanukah celebrates a miracle, the re-dedication of the holy Temple in Jerusalem following the Jewish victory over the Syrian-Greeks in 165 B.C.E. And, in particular, how one day’s worth of oil (required for the re-dedication) lasted for eight days.

If it weren’t for the American Jews, living in a Christian-dominated society, Hanukkah would be considered a minor holiday.  Judaism hinges on large, flashier miracles. The burning bush. Or the big Passover miracles, which include the sparing of first-born sons and the parting of the Red Sea.

You know what I give big thanks for on this Thanksgivukkah?
