Practicing the Presence of God is a time-hallowed form of spiritual worship for Catholics and Protestants. For centuries, this practice has been beloved by monks and nuns, and also by many very God-seeking householders. (I gave it a try while in high school, but didn’t find any results other than feeling untalented at seeking God.)

As an Enlightenment Coach for the Age of Awakening, I don’t have a traditional teaching–“The Teaching“–which supposedly would educate students into Spiritual Enlightenment. In olden times, all Enlightenment student would hear that from the guru, again and again.
Well, I’m not a guru. Nor do I recommend that every Enlightenment Seeker I teach… must do the identical kind of spiritual practice, or eat the same (vegetarian) diet. All that was very Age of Faith. So outdated since the Shift on Dec. 21, 2012!
This YouTube video will show you more. While Enlightenment Coaching for the Age of Awakening, I make use of all the specialties of Energy Spirituality®. That includes the following.
As appropriate, I use 46 Stages of Energetic Literacy. Depth skills for aura reading are indispensable for perceiving what is actually going on within my Enlightenment Seekers. Researching their chakra databanks.
My former, Age of Faith, guru was Maharishi Mahesh Yogi. Responsible for teaching the Transcendental Meditation Program to an estimated 6 million (!!!) spiritual seekers.
During the many advanced courses I took with Maharishi, I saw his energetic literacy in action. Seems to me, he used just Stage 1 Energetic Literacy. (Plus, he expressed the bliss of Traditional Enlightenment.)
Personally, I’ve found from experience as an Enlightenment Coach that Wisdom Seekers who learn good skills of energetic literacy move forward more rapidly toward Spiritual Enlightenment. (Or grow faster within it.)
As for a job like mine, Enlightenment Coaching for the Age of Awakening, advanced skills of energetic literacy are indispensable.
When Vivian inspired this article, she was right. Energetic STUFF in auras does hold back a person’s spiritual evolution. With students, I use the trademarked systems of Energy Spirituality® to pinpoint and permanently remove different kinds of energetic STUFF in auras.
Some of these systems, like 12 Steps to Cut Cords of Attachment® are trademarked. Others, I haven’t bothered to trademark. Rather, I use their names as Terms of Art within Energy Spirituality®. Such as Causational BELIEF Transformation.
Currently I make use of some 3 dozen different skills for Energy Spirituality ENERGY HEALING. All of them work well now, in the Age of Awakening.
My former, Age of Faith, guru was Maharishi Mahesh Yogi, Maharishi called every kind of energetic STUFF by the same name, “Stress.” No discernment about this, whatsoever! As was traditional among his line of gurus from India, Maharishi believed that all we needed to do was to meditate enough. Then all our stress would disappear.
Seriously!
No wonder very, very few TMers (among many hundreds I knew personally) moved into Spiritual Enlightenment. Even when we attended courses in residence where we “meditated their brains out.”

Among all of these six Sensitivity Styles, one group requires assistance for attaining Spiritual Enlightenment. That would be the empaths.
If they are to attain Spiritual Enlightenment, born empaths need skills of Empath Empowerment®, or the equivalent, Very, very few people stumble onto this on their own.
One shining exception to this rule is Cathy Moore, the empath in Age of Awakening Enlightenment whom I profiled in a recent article here on Medium.
It’s rare to find an Enlightenment Teacher who can give you correct information about about empaths. The topic is not traditional among Enlightenment Teachers in The Enlightenment Establishment.
This is hardly the only way that Enlightenment Teachers, who pass along Age of Faith teachings, fail their students. More about that to come in this article.
What if you happen to be an empath?
What if your otherwise wonderful Enlightenment Teacher cannot help you to become a Skilled Empath? Then it just might be time to find an effective teacher of empaths, just as you wouldn’t disrespect your Enlightenment Teacher by meeting sometimes with a dentist. Might I recommend?
Before this Second Consciousness Era on Earth began, what approach did Enlightenment Teachers take?
They learned “The Teaching” from their own gurus, their Enlightenment Teachers. Then the teachers transmitted The Teaching.
Supposedly, when a student fully understood that Teaching, they would move into Spiritual Enlightenment.
Unfortunately, the majority of well respected Enlightenment teachers today aren’t, personally, living in Enlightenment. For instance, I researched the consciousness lifestyles of many of these teachers in a truth-seeking article at my personal blog.
How many of them have I researched so far at this article? 36 Enlightenment Teachers, etc.
And how many of these teachers have actually attained Spiritual Enlightenment? According to Energy Spirituality® consciousness lifestyle research — in contrast to their own opinions of themselves!
So far? Just 3. That’s right, ONLY THREE. Out of 36.
This Enlightenment Coach uses many skills that work now, in the Age of Awakening.

Why look to famous people for aura-level inspiration? Because some are honorable, talented, hardworking … and with auras to match. Here I think of Dr. Anthony Fauci; also, I fondly remember inspiring U.N. Ambassador Linda Greenfield, and even the article I wrote for you about our first prize winner for this contest, Mary Berry.
However, these days I’m learning something unexpected from awarding contest prizes.
Researching auras of famous people, in granular detail, can be … well … pardon my French but… puke-worthy.
When I woke up this morning, I thought:

Hmmmm. When choosing the 3 Categories for nominating famous people, guess what? I figured we’d learn a lot about:
Through Category 1:
I thought we’d find, mostly, people who can’t find a nobler claim to fame than flaunting their bodies.
Not my fave, but it takes all kinds to make this world.
Then, through Category 2:
I thought we’d find, mostly, religious braggarts. Maybe even some hypocrites.
How bad could that be? Well, we’ll find out when awarding future contest prizes.
And through Category 3:
For this category, I thought we’d mainly find celebs who are inwardly the opposite of spiritually beautiful. But how awful could they be?
Because I’m delivering what I promised, no matter what.
So far, though, I have found far more ugliness than I expected. Researching Angelina Jolie and, over the last few days, drafting my Monday article about Gwyneth Paltrow.
Ugh! Educational but also, you know, kind of barf-worthy.

Do some people wear a Keep Out sign which means God will not be able to help them? Energetically, yes. That can cause folks to feel like terrible. Yet they don’t have to suffer this way of being spiritually stuck. A certain kind of “Keep Out” sign — STUFF in auras — can always be removed.

Do some people wear a Keep Out sign that keeps God from helping them? Or might some people, knowingly or not, wear a Keep Out Sign that forbids them from feeling connected to God?
Either way, what you learn here can help.
Of course, nobody has to believe in God. Nobody must pursue spiritual growth. I’m writing this article for the benefit of folks who might like to have direct experience of God, yet they’ve given up. For now.
No need for God? No interest in emotional or spiritual growth? I understand everyone is different but I just don’t get it.
Why would anyone want to have a life without these? I’m trying to fathom what the purpose would be. Sounds like a joyless existence to me.

Astral garbage, you could call it. Different kinds of energy can (and do) get stuck in a human being’s aura. Most Spiritual Seekers have no idea that energetic STUFF in their auras is a thing, or that it causes limitations that seem fixed for life. Seem to be, but aren’t.
Including the problems expressed below by Danny, Megan, James, Zachary, Katherine, Aidan, and Kaylee.
The field of Energy Spirituality® includes many specialties that solve problems like the ones you’ll read about here. In this article I will note in passing that all our skills for energy healing are co-created with Divine help, then used systematically, rigorously.
Here come our seven examples of skills that work now. You’ll only be reading an introduction, of course. Still, this article can help you to feel more hopeful about experiencing God directly.
Don’t expect anything dramatic or flashy, in the style of televangelist performers. Direct experience of God can be easy and natural; maybe gentle or soothing or bringing you a quiet kind of joy. Your experiences of the Divine may change, too, over time. Innocence about this relationship can serve you well.
Danny says, “How can I ever feel the presence of God? As a person, I feel invisible most of the time. How can God ever be able to find me?”
Although there are many reasons to not feel visible or important as a person, guess what? The single most important cause, in terms of subconscious STUFF, is using only a small fraction of your personal Soul Expression.
Your personal Soul Expression is magnificent. Having all of this available will bring clearer thinking, more clarity about relationships, faster emotional growth, and faster spiritual evolution. And a clearer experience of the Divine.

For sure, under-using your God-given soul expression in life? That’s one of those everyday problems which doesn’t have to be.

Megan says, I get spaced out a lot, like I’m high on weed. Only I’m not into grass anymore. My problem is, sometimes I can barely notice where my feet are going. How can I find God when I’m such a mess.”
Hearing this, psychologist Gladys might start opening up her diagnostic manual with great excitement. Sure, a mental health professional might find plenty of psychiatric diagnoses for Megan. However, my experience with Energy Spirituality is quite different.
The problem could be as simple as what I call “astral cooties.” If there really is a psychiatric problem, this Healing Centerpiece won’t hurt a thing. And it just might make a noticeable difference–a long-term difference–in just one session.
By smoking weed, or similar. Also, secondhand smoke from pot can cause the same problem.
It’s not hard to get astral cooties in your aura. Like walking past potheads on the street, where secondhand smoke can zap you.
Please protect yourself in the future by carrying a Covid mask at all times, and maybe a scarf as well. If you rent an apartment, insist on having a clause in the lease to protect you from secondhand smoke from grass. Some buildings may even protect you by engineering a ventilation system in your building that prevents your breathing in marijuana fumes from neighbors.
In any case, if you have smoked pot even twice, you likely have plenty of this kind of STUFF. This article on “Marijuana Cooties Begone” can inform you and inspire you.
Yes, your experience of God can improve, due to this Energy Spirituality® Healing Centerpiece. What’s also likely to improve? Nothing less than your down-to-earth, human, experience of everyday life.
God has never gone anywhere. But astral cooties are one of those subconscious, everyday problems which doesn’t have to be.

James says, I might have post-traumatic stress disorder. Or something like that. Could I get this just from living my life? I never fought in a battle or anything.
But sometimes I have these creepy emotions and thoughts that have nothing to do with where I am and what I’m doing. Like I’m scared for no reason. If I can’t manage to be here now, half the time, how can I ever experience God?

Energetic STUFF in auras is a fact of human life. Seems to me, it’s our responsibility, not God’s, to tidy this up.

Zachary says, I don’t mean to be negative. A lot of the time, though, I’ll think, What’s the use? Why bother? Like, whatever I’m trying to do, I’ll never succeed.
Many people are staunch believers in “being positive.” Yet this doesn’t begin to touch, let alone remove, energetic STUFF in your aura. An important example, Zachary and other Wisdom Seekers, is a Causational BELIEF Transformation.

Trust this member of TODAY’S Enlightenment Establishment to tell you about a very Age of Awakening kind of energy healing: Gently transforming you, along with the Causational BELIEF.
Unhelpful Causational BELIEFS can sabotage everything else you do to improve your life. These exist at one of the very deepest levels of your subconscious mind.

Wisdom Seeker, it is definitely possible to swap out old beliefs and even ideas about what you do–and don’t–agree to in life. A popular example is Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT).
“CBT is a structured, time-limited, problem-focused and goal oriented form of psychotherapy. CBT helps people learn to identify, question and change how their thoughts, attitudes and beliefs relate to the emotional and behavioural reactions that cause them difficulty.”
An outgrown Causational Agreement is one of those everyday problems which doesn’t have to be.
Aidan says, I went to Catholic school until high school. Some of those nuns were a nightmare. I suppose all these nuns meant well but they were a nightmare. To be honest, I’ve kind of given up on God. Do you blame me?”
Don’t give up on God, Aidan or anyone. Remember this saying? “Heaven helps those who help themselves.”
Cutting cords of attachment (with effective skills) is one way to move out subconscious influences that — otherwise — can feel like a recurring bad dream.
Probably you’ve heard of cutting cords of attachment. Sadly, most of what you’ve encountered… doesn’t work. I don’t make this statement lightly. I aim to protect you.
To see what I mean, regarding well-meant approaches that fail the self-healer, read this: Our “Cut Cords of Attachment DISCERNMENT JAMBOREE.” Sample the many hundreds of comments there, too.
One method stands out from the rest, stand out from the mess: Do you know much about the method called 12 Steps to Cut Cords of Attachment®? For decades, I taught folks to use this method, through self-help books that I published. Also through workshops.
However, I no longer recommend cutting cords of attachment for yourself unless:

Of course, Aidan, you and other Wisdom Seekers could have some humdinger cords of attachment. And, of course, these could be messing with your personal relationship with God. Because energetic STUFF in your aura is not your fault.
But hello! As long as energetic STUFF in your aura is part of you, it can definitely limit your conscious experience in life. Including your relationship with God.
