Earth’s Best Spiritual Academy — You’ve been accepted. Now what?
Earth’s Best Spiritual Academy. Spiritual Seekers, you’re enrolled. In fact, you’re even on scholarship. :-)
So, how can you excel while attending Earth School? Maybe you’re wondering, too, how can you graduate?
Besides that, what would graduation really mean? What’s the point of graduating from Earth’s Best Spiritual Academy?
Let this article can serve as your Orientation Meeting… Let’s take it from the top.
First of All. You’ve Been Accepted
Granted no owl has flown in. Nothing as outwardly attention-getting as what happened in the soul-stirring Harry Potter books.
Somehow you’re in, fully enrolled, with tuition paid up for life.
Although no giant, like kindly Hagrid, is here to explain the basics to you… Hello, you’ve got Rose Rosetree, a real-live Enlightenment teacher.
- Only five feet tall (and change).
- And very human.
- Fortunately, I do have the standing to serve you as a spiritual teacher. As you can read at the link just provided.
HOW Were You Accepted at Earth’s Best Spiritual Academy?
Simply by virtue of living now, in the Age of Awakening.
Like you, any human being alive since the Shift on 12/21/12 — you’re enrolled. For life.
But What’s the Purpose of Earth’s Best Spiritual Academy?
Rather than earning an academic degree, your program here can take you all the way to Spiritual Enlightenment. And beyond.
Basically, what is Spiritual Enlightenment?
Summarizing the essentials for you in a handful of ideas:
- Enlightenment means that you’re using your full potential in life.
- Beyond being “satisfied with yourself.” The spiritual version of using your full potential shows all the way through to your aura.
- And in the background, you’re much more connected to God. Compared with pre-Enlightenment.
- Traditional Enlightenment is the more famous version of Spiritual Enlightenment.
- However, Age of Awakening Enlightenment is also available now. More popular. Plus, you keep growing within this second version of Spiritual Enlightenment.
Speaking of “keep growing,” here come five Q&As about our amazing spiritual academy.
Earth’s Best Spiritual Academy Question 1.
Will You Have to Devote Your Whole Life to Seeking Enlightenment?
Before I give you the short answer. (Which will be NO!) Let’s lead off with a Teaching Tale.
Currently I live in the suburbs of the Washington D.C. area. When I first moved here, in 1982, meditation was my whole life. And gaining Spiritual Enlightenment was my sole purpose. All day long.
- Like so many of my fellow TM meditators, I moved here because Maharishi asked us to. (Long story. By all means, ask about that if you like in the COMMENTS below.)
- Twice daily I went to a group location to do the TM Sidhi program. Besides this group flying regimen, there was travel to-and-from. Altogether this ate up 3 hours of my day. And not total but twice over.
- In addition, I had whatever job was needed to pay my bills.
- Of course, I’d volunteer at a TM Center. (In addition to meditation, this felt like my “real job.”)
- All of these responsibilities left little time after “Program.” Somehow I’d manage to cook a quick vegetarian dinner and get to bed on time. (Ideally by 10 p.m. at the latest. As prescribed by who else? My guru.)
Today we’re not living in the Age of Faith. Today, the answer is NO. Seeking to live a high spiritual ideal need NOT become your full-time job.
Since the Age of Awakening began, I’ve helped quite a lot of students to move into Enlightenment. And not one of them made that into a full-time job.
Actually, this Sort of Devotion Was Pretty Standard During the Age of Faith
Maharishi was one of the great world gurus who emerged in the last 100 years before the Age of Faith ended.
If you have any questions about the Shift on 12/21/12 and what it meant for seekers of Enlightenment, of course you can ask them. Likewise, questions about “the great world gurus.” Simply COMMENT below.
Suffice it to say that it was a full-time job:
- For any seeker of Enlightenment, as this was known in the East.
- Similarly, for any seeker of a life devoted to God, with many variations of this in the West.
- Such as variations on seeking sainthood
You wouldn’t spend 20 minutes on it each day. Rather, this was a lifetime commitment, from the time you made it.
Even then, very few people fulfilled their spiritual ideals. Despite romanticizing and idealizing the standouts, like Saint Francis of Assisi or like Paramahansa Yogananda…. Relatively few people won at that game.
During the Age of Awakening, Seeking Enlightenment Is Different.
What is the Age of Awakening?
It’s an era on earth when millions of people can move into Spiritual Enlightenment.
And all other smart spiritual seekers can make immense progress toward that goal. Assuming that we choose to learn what to do. Versus what NOT to do.
Surprisingly or not, every human alive with normal mental functioning… All of us have been accepted into Earth’s Best Spiritual Academy for Gaining Enlightenment. How well we do is up to each of us.
Earth’s Best Spiritual Academy Question 2.
Must You Believe in a Religion?
Interestingly, now the answer is NO.
Although what will you find if you google these terms?
How many hits for each term? And are such teachers even necessary?
Check the COMMENTS below for some answers. Hint: What I found from googling might surprise you.
Assuming that You Study with Me, What Will this Enlightenment Teacher Ask of You?
By all means, keep following your religion.
However, you might also be in what I call “disorganized religion.”
And that’s fine too.
Energy Spirituality™ isn’t a path. Rather, I help you to live the truth value of your chosen path.
Also, yes, I offer some pretty simple skills that can greatly accelerate your spiritual evolution.
Earth’s Best Spiritual Academy Question 3.
Must You Become a Monk or Nun?
Sexual activity is your business. Assuming that if you “get busy” you’ll do it with a consenting adult, go for it!
Celibacy isn’t required for spiritual seekers in the Age of Awakening.
For that matter, you don’t have to be heterosexual either. Many of my Energy Spirituality clients aren’t. In fact, some of them have moved into Enlightenment, just like some of my hetero clients.
Of course, you might wish to COMMENT on that topic. Are you curious about why that celibacy requirement has changed?
Earth’s Best Spiritual Academy Question 4.
Who Is Going to Advise You on Your Next Steps?
Amazing answer here! So different from what you find in mainstream culture.
Simply put, you’re in charge of your life. Including your spiritual life.
Just as you’re the most important person in charge of your health. Not your doctor. Certainly not letting Amazon.com randomly push you toward deworming medication (for horses) rather than the FDA-approved vaccine against Covid-19.
Maybe that’s not as simple as going to your Father Confessor each day. Or living in an ashram where your guru will tell you:
- What to eat. (Notably, too, what not to eat.)
- Which prayers to say. (And when to say them.)
- How often to go on dates. (Never.)
In the end, you will need their own spiritual maturity. Not surrender and obedience.
Of course, free will didn’t count for much during the Age of Faith, did it?
Quite the opposite. A spiritual seeker required making a lifelong commitment to obedience, surrender, and faith.
Earth’s Best Spiritual Academy Question 5.
If Surrender & Obedience Aren’t My Program, What Is?
Finally, the most fascinating aspect of attending this particular spiritual academy.
Who sets the curriculum? Is it:
- Fate
- Whichever marriage your parents choose for you.
- Alternatively, lifelong celibacy: so simple. (In theory.)
- What your guru or pastor tells you to do.
- Whatever’s trending on Twitter. Or elsewhere on the internet.
Not if you’re serious about taking advantage of your educational opportunity here at Earth School.
Like It Or Not, YOU Set the Curriculum
Self-actualizing people set goals.
What if you don’t know how to set goals? If you want Enlightenment, time to follow a good goal-setting program. (That link just supplied gives you one. Start on Page 283 and do the entire program. Altogether that will take you five minutes or less, daily.)
Worldly success is perfectly compatible with spiritual growth.
Mostly, those goals of yours will be your curriculum. No wonder you’ve been reading blogposts like this one on Spiritual Empowerment!
Next, the BEAUTY Part. Admittedly, It’s Also the TRICKY Part.
Although you’ll be responsible for setting most of your curriculum, sometimes there’s more. Almost as if you had a Mother Superior or sainted guru to give you extra projects.
Only life is going to give you those projects. Specifically, you’ll find some problems. Not because you’ve done anything wrong but because you’re attending Earth’s Best Spiritual Academy. And which kinds of problems?
- Going through a rough patch in your love relationship.
- Having to handle a financial emergency.
- Feeling inwardly stuck, even when nothing outwardly is wrong.
At such times, you can ignore the problem. Maybe work extra-hard on your positive attitude.
Back in the Age of Faith, you’d just meditate or pray extra. But now?
To progress here and now, do your practical best to solve those problems. And also seek help from experts who have reliable skills for helping you to grow emotionally and/or spiritually. Such as those experts named at the previous link.
Now It’s Your Turn
Surely you have reactions to what you’ve read here. Blog-Buddies, let our Comment Conversations begin.
Never before in the history of this world…
Have there been adults like you…
Adults attending Earth’s Best Spiritual Academy, open as of 12/21/12.
What would you like to know? This spiritual teacher is here to be of service to you.
Don’t passively wait for answers, Age of Faith-style.
Step up. Feel free to ask your questions!

What a great reminder that when we encounter problems in life, they are not punishment from an angry God for things we did wrong, but rather opportunities for even more growth.
I grew up with Christian values.
One of those old ideas has been living with me comfortably for too long : the fear of being tricked by a malicious entity (In Christianity, Satan & co).
It showed up recently in a session as fear of getting tricked unknowingly into extreme spiritual addiction by entities.
What a relief it was to hear that it [maintaining a more desirable consciousness lifestyle] is a question of just one choice after another.
Human choices, made one at a time, doing the best I can.
It comes with so much freedom, but also a renewed commitment to live according to my own set of morals.
GEORGETTE, thank you for this contribution to our Consciousness Lifestyle Wiki — as it were. Since I don’t see too many other writings on the internet about Consciousness Lifestyles.
(Such as you’ll find in this currently recommended survey of Consciousness Lifestyles 2021.)
For a lark I just googled “Consciousness Lifestyles.” At Yahoo, on the first page of hits, I found exactly two, both from this blog.
While Bing’s search results were quite different, they also turned up two hits only — links to this blog — on “Consciousness Lifestyles.”
As quoted at Bing, GEORGETTE, “For practical purposes, consciousness lifestyle is THE single most important thing about your aura. Because we’re living at a time when “human” isn’t enough to understand any person.”
Good for you, then, to be among the first spiritual seekers in the world to know about consciousness lifestyles:
Including the most undesirable one — Extreme Spiritual Addiction
And also the one you’ve got — Age of Awakening Enlightenment.
Just because you’re one of the first people to know about consciousness lifestyles, you’re probably more susceptible to either skepticism or fear.
And evidently, your subconscious reaction was to choose fear.
However, a side benefit for you of being a thought leader is that you found to recognize a lurking fear of being tricked by Satan-type remnant of your Protestant upbringing… is your chance to see it in the light of day. And cast it out, as it were!
As you wisely wrote in Comment #304, Georgette, each person’s consciousness lifestyle is a matter of everyday choice. It is entirely up to the individual.
And this is a lifestyle choice, made in the Age of Awakening.
Contrasting with a bygone Age of Faith way, where one would stand up in church and say something like, “I am born again.” And then ta-da! Supposedly you’d be “saved for all eternity.” Regardless of what you said or did.
For all of you who’d like to keep your consciousness lifestyles in tip-top shape, I’d recommend reading “The New Strong.”
And/or, perhaps take our state-of-the-art online, on-demand workshops — specifically, The New Strong Collection of Online Workshops.
Rose, it would be wonderful if you would write more about fear of Satan and Hell.
Even exvangelicals like me sometimes find that we can’t scrub it away.
RYAN, thank you. Between your comment and GEORGETTE’S, I’ve decided to devote an entire blogpost to this topic. Because fear of Hell and trickery from Satan, etc.?
This is a scary leftover from religion for many of you Blog-Buddies and lurkers. I’d love to help. And a worthwhile response will take more than a little blog comment.
RYAN, expect to find a blogpost that you helped to inspire… one of these Mondays. :-)
My own way of studying at Earths Best Spiritual Academy is to stop every hour or so and feel the energy. The energy teaches me about people. It teaches me about myself and my issues.
I dare you to publish my comment because if other people study energy they’ll never need to study with you at all.
I’m living proof. I’m happy and positive. Ever since I became energy sensitive it’s like I have the number to God’s mobile phone.
SOFIA, what is the effect on a person’s aura and consciousness, dipping into energy awareness?
The appeal is understandable. Not only is it common for folks like you to feel a great deal of pride in yourself, as though it were your own personal discovery, becoming energy sensitive…
Besides that, you’re very good at noticing energies. Had you lived even a hundred years ago, let alone a thousand years ago, you would have impressed other people living in the Age of Faith.
However, the Shift into the Age of Awakening happened in 2012. Even during the New Age Years — from 1980 until the Shift on 12/21/12 — it stopped being a rarity, being able to notice energies.
Actually, SOFIA… with all due respect… your fascination with energy doesn’t make you original or special, not as somebody living now, in the Age of Awakening.
To be blunt, your way of living is a cliché. Nothing original about that, nor anything spiritual, either.
Because noticing energies, for you, isn’t “of God.” It isn’t spiritual at all.
What you’ve reported in your comments above, SOFIA, involves positioning your consciousness at random Astral Vibrational Frequencies. And astral experiences are decidedly NOT spiritual experiences.
I urge you to educate yourself about how to evolve spiritually — and humanly — in this new Age of Awakening. Please, read “The New Strong.” Among other things, you’ll learn how to avoid the trap of playing with energy awareness, as you describe here.
If “trap” seems like a strong word, the danger is real: Noticing energies counts as “Technique Time,” where you’re positioning your consciousness away from Human Vibrational Frequencies.
Noticing energies means positioning your consciousness away from Human Vibrational Frequencies. Every time you do it, you’re doing Technique Time.
From your description of your quality of life now, in Comment #319, reads like a textbook definition of living with the consciousness lifestyle of Spiritual Addiction.
This consciousness lifestyle is also the typical outcome of stopping to notice “the energy” during everyday life.
So what’s wrong with that blissy, superior state of living in Spiritual Addiction?
Personally, your spiritual evolution and emotional growth come to a screeching halt. Despite feeling as though you’re so very brilliant at identifying your psychological “issues.”
Socially you won’t be respected by most people who encounter you, except for those who are also stuck in Spiritual Addiction. What a waste, SOFIA. You’re better than that!
In terms of giving service to others, or engaging effectively in politics at a critical time in American history; or in terms of making as much money as you’re capable of doing….
None of this happens as it could, not when somebody lives in Spiritual Addiction.
In short, consider yourself warned: Both SOFIA and any of you readers here who are addicted to the Romance of the Astral, feeling so excited (and also maybe superior to others) because you keep noticing energies.
You could do better, much better.
Please read “The New Strong” — and read it thoughtfully, not as if racing through trying to get to the parts that you consider valuable.
(Because folks in Spiritual Addiction, aka energy hobbyists, do tend to mistake astral flash for something valuable. Another common mistake.)
Even better, SOFIA and others who are soooo into reading energies, I recommend that you book a personal session with me so that I can coach you as an Enlightenment Teacher. This could save you months of stalling your growth, or longer.
Others have learned how to live productively in the Age of Awakening. Why not you?
An awful lot of your comments are about the so-called Age of Awakening. But you’re missing the really important thing about it.
Everybody reading this, listen up. You can learn how to ascend. Free lessons will teach you. And these lessons on YouTube won’t cost you a penny.
I know what I’m talking about when I tell you that you’ve never had a thrill in your life that can match the majesty of learning how to live in the Fifth Dimension.
CAL, life offers simple pleasures, significant pleasures, and dangerous pleasures.
Unfortunately, seeking to become superhuman is one of those dangerous pleasures. I have, actually, written a blogpost expressly warning against pursuing activities with a view toward ascension, living in the Fifth Dimension, etc.
Many cults now exist, making such promises. After you read the main article at the link just provided, what if you’re not yet convinced that these practices are destructive and addictive?
Read the comments. Including the cries of despair and anguish — because by now we’ve accumulated many of them at that blogpost.
In general, here’s a word of advice for those of you who aim to gain the most from attending Earth’s Best Spiritual Academy.
Avoid free instruction for personal development or spiritual growth. For example, YouTube videos that aim to teach you meditation, etc.
One vivid example, aura-researched here at this blog, involves “Purposely Feeling Emotional Pain.”
Nothing about these “free” instructions is free — except that, as humans, we’re free to waste our lives, if it pleases us.
Often the “free” YouTube videos that supposedly teach you something valuable to do with your consciousness… they’re given by folks in Extreme Spiritual Addiction. So beware.
But don’t I too offer free YouTube videos and also Free Introductions to most of my Energy Spirituality Online Workshops?
Sure do. Only let’s make an important distinction.
My YouTube videos teach information, useful information, information you likely won’t find elsewhere; info that helps you to solve problems, avoid optional suffering, and altogether enjoy life more in the Age of Awakening.
Hardly the same thing as teaching you how to do any of our 10 Trademarked Systems of Energy Spirituality.
These have some complexity to them, although none is difficult to do. It’s entirely appropriate in my view to charge you tuition for an online workshop, and to charge a cover price for one of my how-to books.
What if you’re curious about our practical skills, like our Spirituality Sparkling® Workshops for Energy Healing?
I can teach you properly. Systematically. Find out what these skills can do for you.
Comments #300–315 are so important for Evangelicals and Exevangelicals alike.
It’s a reminder that we will always be accountable for our own actions and choices, regardless of what we’ve been taught.
These comments sort of hit me like a thunder bolt, especially the fear of being tricked into extreme spiritual addiction.
I’ll be reading The New Strong again, with the new freedom of having a pretty big illusion smashed.
LIANE, thanks so much for sharing your reaction. Whether you readers are:
* Still members of a Fundamentalist church, and you like to think independently about certain things.
* Or members of a more traditional Protestant or Catholic church.
* Or you’re an exevangelical (aka exvangelical).
* Or you’ve moved on from your Sunday School training, like the (to me) rather discouraging term, “lapsed Catholic.”
* Or you’re a faithful Muslim. Or Buddhist.
* Or you were raised in any religion that does have a concept of “Hell.”
* Or you were raised Jewish, or in any other religion that does NOT have a concept of “Hell.”
You’re not necessarily immune to fears of being judged and going to Hell. Like the fear of being tricked or deceived and there you’ll be, lost forever….
These are extremely powerful fears in Collective Consciousness. But you can move past them.
Not because I’ll debate you for hours, but for this particular reason:
But because, one or more sessions of Energy Spirituality can identify the sticky, subconscious, inner STUFF which can make these fear-generating beliefs…
Otherwise remain stuck in your aura for the rest of your life.
Beyond identifying different kinds of STUFF that hold you back, I can help you by facilitating permanent energy healing of different kinds. As a result you can free yourself up from that.
What’s one sweet aspect of that? As you might know, LIANE, you can ask that I cocreate your liberating session of Energy Spirituality… with Jesus or Buddha, or Almighty God.
They’ve helped me to facilitate hundreds of Energy Spirituality sessions that helped clients move past the daily prison of religious fears.
I never liked school. But I am a spiritual person.
Can you give us a more inspiring way of thinking about living on earth? I’d really appreciate something that doesn’t make it sound like that. You know like I’m going to have to stay in school for the rest of my life.
ERNIE, I’m flattered that you would authorize me to give you a central metaphor for bringing meaning to your life. But I decline to take on that responsibility.
Please, find your own ways to think about your own life and make it meaningful. You can, and that’s important.
Blog-Buddies, I just encountered something sooooooooooooooo fascinating. Years ago I remember reading about millions of extra men in China and India, given widespread cultural preferences to abort or kill female children.
Today this came up during a session with an Energy Spirituality client. I wound up finding a current article, from 2018 and… OMG, by 2018 recently by how much do men outnumber women in the populations of China and India?
70 million. Details here.
Wow, what an article….
Mind boggling. just read the whole thing. Thanks for sharing it.
JANICE H., you’re so welcome. Since this article first was published, I’ve developed some related articles.
For you and any other Blog-Buddies who might be interested in this Enlightenment Teaching aspect of this Energy Spirituality Blog….
